Bostonian Men's Capi Slip-on Loafer

I've worn these shoes almost every day for several months, and I love them. They've proven to be very durable and with just a little regular polishing, continue to look like new. As someone who needs a little extra arch support, the removable insoles allowed me to insert my own arch supports and the shoe still fits great. Only knock is the occasional squeaking noise on some floor surfaces that other reviewers have noted.Still, already own one pair in black and other in brown and will definitely order again when the need arises. Great shoe for the price.

I bought a pair of these for everyday in the office, and I actually wear these any time that I'm not going to get dirty. They're comfy - very comfy. And these are not the high end model, which I bought a pair for special occasions. These were less than $100, where the nicer ones are $150ish. Not much except maybe a little better construction, nicer leather? and a little more cushy. I've also got a black pair identical to these, but there's something different about those - they just don't feel as comfortable. I like the brown leather and it wears and ages nice. Cleans up nice too. A little cleaning and they look almost like new again. I would and will buy these again. I've liked Clarks shoes for a while now. It's my go-to shoe. As I get older, I also appreciate the slip-on style. I haven't tied a shoe (except for my running shoes) in a decade or more.

These shoes look good and the quality is excellent--easily the equal of the $150 pair of Johnston and Murphy loafers I was considering buying. The leather is quite soft, and the sewing shows no blemishes. They are reasonably comfortable, but the removable insole is so thin it is pretty much a joke. However, it is easy to add cushioned insoles or custom orthotics either under or in place of the stock insoles, especially if you buy the 2E. My one complaint is the length of the shoes. I ordered a 9EE so that I can easily add a thick Spenco insole under the stock ones, as I need a lot of cushioning. I am normally pretty much exactly a size 9. These are just a bit bigger than most 9EEs, but they are MUCH longer. I think this must be by design, as the arches are in the correct place. However, there is well over an inch of space in front of my big toes. Every time I look down, I am surprised at how big my feet are, and I suspect i am going to have an issue with stubbing them on object because I am not used to the length. The are fine for casual and dress casual, and I will wear them with a suit, but someone who is really into fashion would probably consider them too casual for true dress wear.

- I have worn either these slip-ons or the laced version of these for the past 6+ years.- For the slip ons, fit for most people might be half size smaller than usual dress shoe size (I wear orthotics, so I use the same size).- style is modern, sleek, understated, not gaudy- made in china, but the stitching appears to be well done, better than clarks I saw in Macy's- sole is very durable- there was slight separation of the leather from the sole on one side after wearing the same pair daily for months and being quite rough with it, but no splitting or holes at all even 8-10 months after I noticed it- just bought 2 more pairs of these for about $60 each, which is what I think they are worth

I was a little unsure about buying this product. My husband is on his feet all day, and often even on the weekends wears his "brown" shoe with jeans, so I knew they would get lots of use! I've gotten him Clarks in the past, and have been pleased...his last Clarks lasted 3 years. I really just wanted to buy him another pair of those, but I found these at a great deal and thought I would try them out. He's been wearing them for about a week and he LOVES them! They are true to size and super comfy.

I went through a lot of shoes before coming to these. I first tried them on in a Clark's retail store. I took two steps in them and told the salesman to ring me up.They are casual.. but are classy enough to be used for dressy occasions. Very comfy. Very easy to put on. My last pair were in almost daily use for well over a year and a half before I bought a new set on Amazon.This will probably be the last pair of business casual shoes I ever buy. As long as they are made. I will continue to replace mine with the same set.

Bought these for my husband for Christmas and he loves them. He bought another pair, same brand different style, and says those aren't as comfortable. I got him a 12W and he says they are the first that aren't too tight. So far they've held up really well too and get used for at least 12 hours at day with lots of walking and standing.UPDATE: after a year these are still the most comfortable shoes he has. The only mark against the shoes is that one of the shoes is peeling on the inside where the heel is, along the wall.

I was a Huge fan of the Bostonian of years gone by. Ordered the Capi in both black and brown, due to the great looks, and great reviews. Was so excited to receive them.What a disappointment! The leather feels cheap, and very thin. I wore them in my living room for 5 minutes, and with each bend of my foot during each step, the leather began to crease heavily. This is ok, as long as the leather then returns back to original shape, but this is not the case. When I took the shoes off, the creases were still there, resembling a shoe that had been worn for months.. The leather seems very inferior to be used on Bostonian shoes. Returned both pair back to Amazon.
