I love this shower drain strainer. It really keeps the hair from going down the drain. You will be surprised at how much hair it catches. I am sure my plumbing will be happier. It just fits over your existing drain and stays put. Really great design.

I have been pleasantly surprised by this drain cover. Unlike the mesh covers, this one is not flimsy at all and it fits my standard shower drain perfectly. It stays in place and does not slide around and because the screen part is metal it’s really easy to just wipe the hair off and throw it away. The only downside to this and it’s not bad enough for me to stop using it is that it has a rubber rim which keeps it in place and covers the edge of the metal, but that rim also causes the water to back up a little bit. It’s not terrible, but I do have to slide the cover off with my toe after I’m done showering so the water can go out faster. No, you will not be standing in dirty water, it doesn’t back up that much just a little bit around the drain.

We had the same strainer that lasted for about 8 yrs of hard use that finally cracked. I was worried it might have been changed (cheapened) but it's the same. Easy to simply pick up the collected hair sitting on the top, keeps hair out of the drain. Also easy to clean - no convoluted nooks and crannies to try to get the gunk out of. Simply sits into the shallow drain area of a normal bathtub and doesn't move around. Not sure it would fit a flat drain like in a shower.

I actually bought this for my tub and not my shower. I bought it because it had smaller sized holes and covered a larger area. Because it covers a larger area it drains better so I don’t get a lot of water back up like I do with a smaller drain cover. It catches all of the hair and all I have to do is wipe it right off. The silicone edging keeps it in place. This was a great buy and I love it!

When it arrived the center was raised. That didn't help much but when my wife accidently pushed it down it did great. If fits the indent in the shower perfectly.

This product looks nice and fits over the drain, stays put for the most part BUT it’s too elevated to drain the water. Need to get something that is level with the drain or close to it.

Overall, this is the best drain hair catcher I've found so far, and I've tried a lot of them. It's sturdy and covers the drain well. It does slide around a bit but in general stops hair from going down the drain. I usually have to also clean underneath it as well but it's pretty simple.
