This mo fo takes forever to assemble
This is a very sturdy bed. Although, this damn thing took us more than 8+ hours and two day's to assemble. We started at noon Saturday and finished the bed frame and drawers by 8 pm. Decided to tackle the head board Sunday. Mind you there were two adults working on it. The instructions are worthless. Just a bunch of arrows going this way and that apparently trying to show something but shows nothing. The time stated of 120 minutes is absurd! Directions have you pre assemble all parts then put together. After all was done we did have a beautiful bed for our daughter, but my goodness it was a chore, and a literal pain in the butt and back!Update: it is now 3 weeks later and just assembled the headboard. The directions are pure crap! This bed assembly will take every ounce of patience and sanity from you. If you don’t already have a reservation at the loony bin, make one! By the time you have figured out how to put this damn thing together, just to find out have to completely rearrange the thing to fit the bedroom wall it’s wanted on. You willLoose your F***** mind. I’m over it and the whole damn thing. Ready to smash it to pieces and send the F***** back!

Great bed for the money!
I ordered 2 of these hodedah captain twin beds in black. Both arrived reasonably quick and in good condition. Each bed comes in 2x fairly large, heavy boxes. the boxes got a little torn up, but out of all 4 boxes I received I only found 1 minor scuff on a single panel. It was minor enough to not even worry with. The packaging seems sufficient nonetheless. I was worried about all the comments complaining about the poor instructions, and 8 hour build time. Either they have made improvements, or I am handier than most because I found the instructions to be fine. There are a lot of parts, but it is manageable.I built both beds in roughly 6 hours total. I completed the first bed in about 4 hours. I had to move the 2 end rails for the drawers, but that was the only issue. It took just a few minutes to move the 2 rails 1 hole over. I saw a few comments stating the holes for the rails were not there at all. That wasn't the case for me. I just chose the wrong holes on the rail itself. That was my mistake regardless. After that, I jumped right into building the 2nd bed. It only took roughly 2 hours since I had a feel for it, and didn't have to study the instructions as much.Overall, the beds seem sturdy. For the price you are obviously getting all composite wood, but it has a nice look to it. Each drawer even have a hefty center support that makes them feel really solid. I chose not to screw in the mattress support boards, so we can access the hidden storage area behind the drawers. It's not easy to access, but it is a large area worth utilizing. My boys love the beds, and they have already decorated their headboards, and made charging stations. I'm happy with the purchase!

Go for it.
This bed is nice. It’s really cute however it took forever putting it together the instructions could use a little work for more clarity. You will get splinters assembling this bed edges are sharp once put together but not dangerous. PUT IT TOGETHER IN THE SPOT OR CLOSE TO THE SPOT WHERE IT WILL BE BECAUSE IT IS HEAVVVVVVVYYYYYYY AS HELL ONCE ITS DONE. pushing it is almost impossible. The drawers are a little off I’m not sure if it’s cut wrong or assemblers error (myself and my boyfriend lol) also you may want to get some type of grip for mattress because it can slip around because the mattress doesn’t sit low inside bed it literally sits on top of boards. Would have given it a 5 star review if the drawers were even and didn’t get off track when pulling to open. All in all my daughter loves it.

MOST difficult piece of china I've ever tried to build
Trying to build this was ridiculous. I wish it just screwed together but instead you have to pray these little plastic pegs align like the stars and hold the boards together. After that you have one chance not to screw everything up because the wood is so soft. Found myself hammering things together with my own screws. Only buy this if you have a team of Astro physisists to help. Booooo

Seller is responsive, helpful, and courteous.
The bed itself is good. It is exactly what I expected for the price point.I bought two beds, and other than a few minor dings they arrived mostly unscathed. The foot-board of one of the beds arrived with a large piece of the corner broken off. I'm assuming it must have been dropped on its corner during shipping. The seller responded promptly and ordered a replacement part for me with no hesitation. The replacement part arrived very securely wrapped as to avoid any dings, so kudos to them!

Time consuming to assemble and some errors in instructions, but good quality in the end
The bed arrived in 2 boxes, totalling 180 pounds. We arranged all the pieces in alphabetical order around the garage, did prep of inserting dowels, screws, etc, and then assembled sub-components like drawers. We then took the larger pieces upstairs to put them together in the bedroom. I had downloaded instructions from the company website, but those were an old version where boards were numbered, but our kit had the boards labeled with letters. Proper instructions were included in the box and there were some omissions and errors, but we were able to figure out fairly easily. As noted by others, the drawers can be put on either the left or right side of the bed, by just making a change near the end of assembly when attaching the headboard/shelf portion to the part that goes under the mattress. My adult son and I spent about 8 hours each on assembly, mostly before moving material into the bedroom. In the bedroom, it took a couple hours of those 8 hours. One part did not fit - the drawer handles/pulls. Screws did not start into the handles. I might have been able to get them to work, but I just went to a hardware store, bought very similar handles and screws that were also inexpensive. That took care of that pretty quickly. Having a near empty garage was helpful since we needed to layout all the boards/parts before starting. ... We like the end quality but it was more effort than expected.
