Great weighted vest
Great weighted vest option. I like that you can change the weight so you don’t have to buy a new vest every time you need to go up or down in. Weight. Also really like that it is a spot to put your phone.

It's not 40 lbs. Mine was actually 46 lbs and I was able to use it to pass my arduous pack test.
I bought this to train and pass my arduous pack test (45 lbs for 3 miles in under 45 minutes) and when I showed up with it on the day of testing, I expected to have to borrow 5 lbs of weight, but we weighed it and it was 46 lbs. I now ruck with it and if you adjust it right, you don't need extra padding and definitely not if you're wearing a jacket in colder weather. I like the weight distribution. It fits nice and the only thing I wish they would redesign is the storage flap so that you could access the pocket with a zipper on the outside. Having to undo the belt to access the storage flap is a PITA. The built-in holder holds my Kenwood radio nicely. The weight sacks are covered with thin material, which concerns me but they haven't leaked and once you're up to the weights full capacity, I don't think it will be an issue unless you're constantly adjusting the weight. I do believe the weight material is inside heavier plastic bag inside the sewn covering. I'll keep it at ~40 lbs for rucking and I also use it for weighted calisthenics.BTW, passed my arduous pack test in 39:55. Not bad for a 54 year old for his first time wearing barefoot shoes ;)

Weighted vest
First, let me cover the pros. The vest is very comfortable to wear. I wore it around the house before I took it for a test drive, and it is well balanced and comfortable to wear. After using it on a 2-mile route, it remained comfortable.I like the fact that it's adjustable in being able to take out weights to suit your needs. I haven't taken any out, but the option is there if you need it. I also like that it has an elastic 'pocket' on the outside, I use it to hold a cell phone. There's only 2 cons, and those are just preference I suppose. One is that there is no quick release for the shoulders, meaning you have to heft the vest over your head to put it on and take it off. Not a deal breaker however. Next is that there's little in the way of customization. There are no loops to add anything like additional pouches, holders, or the like. Again, not a deal breaker.I've been rucking with it for 2 months now, and it's holding up really well. Seems really durable to me.

well build weight vest
love wearing this arround the house, it is amazing to feel the overall body workout with an evenly distributed 40 lbs, holds firmly in place, is built rugged. only negative comment is i feel self confident going outside with this as it looks like a bullet proof vest

Excellent for the price point.
I wear this RunMax pro 40 ib vest mainly when I hike up mountains and go bike riding. First thing I want to mention is putting this on really adjusts your posture to a very natural position. I have had minimal pain wearing this, even when hiking long distances. No pain in shoulders or lower back as of yet.It might help if you use your phone or a mirror to properly strap this vest on and adjust as necessary. If you do so, you might not need to buy the non-including shoulder straps they sell for this. I think it's so well designed that it really isn't necessary, but experiences do vary, and I suggest just adjusting it slightly as needed, but just getting the straps across as straight as possible should do it.I will say, despite it's apparent simplistic aesthetic, I think the design of this vest itself is excellent for usage. The quality overall is very good, but I have noticed that maybe after the 4th hike the velcro straps did start to wear out, but I suppose that's to be expected with 40ibs ofT A C T I C A L S U P E R I O R I T Y bouncing all about. Well, it's not quite tactical as it could use more pockets. However, you do have a front pocket that'll hold your precious livelihood (yes, your cell phone) there's a metal ring I use for my keys, and even a whole water bottle holster to arm yourself to the teeth with liquid rehydration....Yeah... Well, there's not much to say about this vest really. It's relatively comfortable, it doesn't feel too constraining or put you at risk of overheating due to it's very airy design... Somehow, despite the RunMax name, I'm not sure this is the most aerodynamic of designs 🤔 but I digress. This vest does have the option to remove sandbags so I suppose you COULD have "added storage" for the removal of weight, but I'm just not sure what you'd be putting in those kinds of pouches aside from the occasional candy/granola bar 😳In all seriousness this vest is great, even despite it's very basic exterior. Compared to other vests, it's comfortable for many different sizes, you have lowered risk of overheating, lowered risk of pain and it's adjustable to your needs as you become a chiseled masterpiece overtime. If it ever did just have more pockets, this would be quite sublime. If you need, you can consider buying a drawstring backpack, and items with very appealing names such as "wAtEr bLaDdEr" and "fAnNy pAcK" to keep you hydrated AND storage friendly. And maybe some sort of solar external battery (that's rightI just called you out again!) And I'm not saying anything about anything, but in a pinch, if in case of a pesky zombie apocalypse this thing IS still 40 ibs. You do the math... What are you waiting for? For 50 bucks go get those glutes in shape err get your butt in gear

Comfortable & Versatile
I truly love this vest! It’s comfortable and the removable weight bags are SO nice. It has an ear pod holder bag and a phone holder. Can’t wait to up my weights and get to the full 40lbs.

Well made and makes an intense low impact workout achievable.
I walk in this 5 times a week. I can’t believe this is just 40lbs. I read that walking in weighted vests as we age will build bone density. After a while, it begins to feel like it’s digging into my shoulders. I bought the pads that are meant to alleviate that pain but they don’t really do much for too long. Also, I could make it less heavier by removing some of the weights. I’m happy with this purchase. It’s definitely helped me shed pounds and inches. Seems to be well made. I think it’s worth every penny.
