Not Chinese. Very good quality product from a reputable company
These paints are among the worlds finest watercolors. Because they offer so many colors and they act in a range of ways, I recommend buying a dot card. It seems expensive but it save making swatches. It’s a fantastic reference to know the staining, granulation or smoothness of texture, opacity, mixing ability, lightfastness etc. I check off which ones I have. You can creat pans from them or use straight out of the tube for a high pigmented fluid application. Some are genuine minerals! I say not Chinese because many of these world class companies are being undercut by cheap products of inferior quality with similar packaging. The consumers are the ones to bear the brunt of this. They buy cheap products they don’t work as well, the good companies have to raise their prices and when the consumer realizes that they can’t get good work from cheap products they find the prices have had to surge. I have watched this over many years. Don’t buy cheap products from countries that don’t value ethical business practices!

Best quality of paint. Just beautiful.
I love the way Lunar Black just flows out of the tube. You can get so many variations out of this. Great for what I originally bought it for, which is Sumi-E painting. I’m thinking I can use this in many ways. Urban, city streets, landscape and architecture. And the list goes on.
