A nice relief at the end of the day
Chronic neck pain is an issue for me, and I needed to find a solution for better sleep. The irony here is that poor sleep makes my trouble areas flare up and hurt more, and the pain causes more sleepless nights. I tried this pillow on a whim because I already tried a bunch of other things, so why not, right? I'm glad I did, because from the first night, it made a remarkable difference. As you can see from my photographs, it fits comfortably into a queen sized pillow case, which was a concern of mine, because some of the other pillows I tried required much larger pillow cases! I was also a little skeptical about the memory foam aspect of it; I've tried memory foam pillows in the past, and they didn't really help me. While the pillow is made of foam, it's not the squishy kind of memory foam, so it does offer a lot of good support around my neck. There are two ends to this pillow: a higher side for side sleepers (the higher edge accommodates your shoulder height, so it can comfortably go where shoulders go), and a lower side for back sleepers. Both ends provide excellent neck support and do a great job of alleviating the weight of the head from the cervical spine. As for the questions about how it works for side sleepers; as a side sleeper myself, I find it very comfortable. No, you don't have to always be in the center of the pillow, however, if you're in your back and want to rest your head to the side, the center is quite nice for that.Overall, I'd say this pillow has definitely improved my quality of sleep which, in the long run, reduces the amount of pain medication I need to take, and to me, that's a really good thing.

Stiff, Sore Neck Relief
I came across cervicogenic pillows as an option for increasing pain while sleeping. I used to sleep on my back easily, but broke my tailbone in a fall a couple years ago and had switched to sleeping on my side and stomach. The change in position started to create terrible neck pain that resulted in a few sleepless nights, so I ended up ordering this pillow to see if it would relieve some of the soreness.Oh my god. I guess I was really not sleeping fully for a while. Two nights on it already and I've slept the whole 8 hours each time with almost no movement during the night. My neck feels normal and I have full range of movement (previously, I was starting to have difficulty turning my head quickly or tilting it). It's supportive, but not driving my neck up in all three positions. It stays cool (which feels wonderful) and fits a standard size pillowcase (though it comes with a cover that is soft and washable if needed). If you are experiencing noticeable neck pain after sleeping, it's worth it to give these pillows a try. My main reason for picking IKSTAR was aesthetic, but I'm glad I did. Foam feels high quality and heavy, I do actually like the color palette of the cover, and they don't feel too small for my height (5' 8").Looking forward to the future of sleeping normally.

Very supportive, doesn’t go flat.
A good pillow with a couple of different options, depending on your position.

Great, if you're single...!
This pillow is designed with a very specific sleep portfolio in mind. If you are single and sleep alone, it works well, as you basically remain in the same place and simply roll back and forth. However, if you are either a very 'active sleeper,' (read: a thrasher-about), or sleep with anyone else, it can be a bit of a double-edged sword. While the pillow is designed to sleep on one's side at the edges, it naturally draws one's head back into the sunken well in the center. If you are trying to curl up against someone (or vice versa), it makes for an uncomfortably craned neck, which will invariably happen as you sleep, so you wake with unnecessary neck pain. I will note that, laying alone in bed after my wife gets up and goes to prep for work, the pillow is quite comfortable, so it's not a total loss, but having come from using one of the standard foam pillows, which are of uniform cross-section all the way end-to-end, this is not the same sleeping experience! Caveat emptor on that one, kiddies.

Much better than i expected
I've been using the pillow on top for about 10 years. It's similar to the "best sellers", works fine, but it's showing signs of aging and more importantly i am having snoring problems. The newer design with the cervical support such as this product and others really does make a big difference. Some of my immidiate observations:1. compared to the one side style, the two sides style gives works much better. Sleeping on my back, I feel uncomfortable on the high side, but the low side fits me a lot better. I would say, unless you know what you want, the two sides ones is much better choice.2. Unexpectedly great for side sleep as well. I side sleep/watch tablet on either side of the pillow, instead of in the middle as the picture shows. Thick and tall foam not only is better for my ears, also my head is straighter.3. I don't know about other current foam pillows, but my old one gets hot after a while sleeping on it. This particular product is instead a little cooling, something i didn't expect.I got it for $44, a bit more pricey than the best sellses. Best i think the high/low side design works out better for me. Obviously, i also can't comments on its longevity at the moment. Another thing i would want is to include one extra pillow case. The case feels soft, I doubt i can find replacement easily once it breaks.
