Please contact Sony website (www/sony.com/support) and determine if this will work with the DSC-W50. It works with my DSC-HX5/HX5V. I found this specific cable as in accessory item in my accessory pamphlet. Check your documents and see if you have an accessory pamphlet. Note: Check your original packaging...you may have this cable. I did and did not realize it and ordered one thru Amazon!
