This is still hands-down the best product for color laundry. And very different from the one sold now at Walmart.This has no bleach or brighteners yet cleans colored fabrics very thoroughly. Even black shirts are black after 20 washes. No residue and better stain fighting than the gels or liquids. Works in HE and traditional. Use less than prescribed. This may be helpful with the astronomic price (I typically get twice as many loads out of a box, HE washer!). For whites, use the Walmart version, whites need bleach, they turn grey or yellow without and that's why one product can't do it all. Not sure why most countries "get that" and sell two versions of most detergents, one for colors and one for whites. Just the U.S. seems to like the lame compromise with "one size fits all: plus "add all bleach and stain fighters"... This review is for the bleach and brightener free COLOR version of Persil.What annoys me is that the box gets smaller every year, now they downsized again, from 48 to 44 loads and the price goes up. At the current exchange rate with the Euro (this item is made in Germany) it should get cheaper, not pricier.It costs less than 12 Euro (about $15.00) there and that includes already 19% sales tax! To be clear: If you spend money on clothes, it is well worth the price here. I just don't like the rip-off. I "schlepp" it myself from Germany but if you can't travel, go get it here.

I can't say enough good things about this laundry detergent. I had been using this detergent for years in my Miele washer when all of a sudden I couldn't find it anymore anywhere. Next thing I know, Persil is running an ad on TV so I scramble to buy it. Big mistake. The American formula doesn't come close to the quality of the European formula. The American version is super sudsy.....to the point where nothing seems completely rinsed coming out of the washer. It also has a very strong fragrance. The European version produces little suds and rinses completely out of the clothes....leaving everything remarkably clean, fresh, and not perfumed. I'm ecstatic to find this product at Amazon. I will never buy the American version again.

I love the German Persil MegaPerl brand. The US version of Persil you now see in the grocery stores and at Walmart are NOT the same as the German detergent. This detergent lasts me a long while. My laundry gets CLEAN and does not fade. You do not need much to get the job done well. I use both the universal and color mega perls. I love the fresh scent. If the scent seems overpowering, you may be using too much detergent --also try using white vinegar in the fabric softener cup instead of a fragrant softener. Persil is worth the money--your stash will last if used correctly!

I used to buy my liquid and powder laundry detergents from Miele, then discovered that this company made the Miele products under the Miele brand, and Persil. I've been using this for years now and love how it cleans clothes. It's also gentle on my front-loading washing machine. I use slightly less than the recommended amount of detergent as I have found that 2 tbsp is enough. Like all European high-efficiency detergents, you don't need to see bubbles to know it's working. Actually, if you see more than a few bubbles then you are using too much!As an imported product I expect it to be expensive, and it is, but since you don't need to use so much it works out to be not much more per load than a standard US laundry detergent.

I was buying the Persil Power-Pearls (U.S. version) until it was discontinued. I found the Persil Megaperls Detergent here on Amazon and decided to try it. It works great. Also, I get many more loads than what the package claims so it’s actually economical. And most importantly, our clothes are clean! I think these “megaperls” are more convenient than a powder.

I love the Universal Megapearls, so I decided to try the color Megapearls. No matter what I do or how little of this I use clothes come out with pink bleached out looking stains. Stick to the universal unless your a fan of pink blotches

Great powder for clean cloths but very strong. Not meant for dark colors instead white and light colored clothing. Leaves dark colors dull and old. Leaves whites very bright.

This is the best washing powder that I have ever used. It seems pricey but a little goes a long way, I use it by the tblsp. in my wash. Superior clean and rinses away easily.

This is a very hi end HE powdered soap especially for HE front loading washing machines. If you use accordingly you have no soap residue, no black boot seal and no stink in your washing machine. Yes, you may pay more but box should be good for about 6 to 8 months of normal washing. I highly recommend! Excellent product. Product came on time and as described by seller.

Für uns persönlich das beste Waschmittel. Seit Jahren konstant gute Qualität. Die Wäsche riecht angenehm und wird dabei auch noch sauber ;) leichter Flecken gehen gut raus. Dieses Waschmittel ist mittlerweile mein absoluter Favorit - entfernt auch bei niedrigen Temperaturen sehr gut alle möglichen Flecken (sprühe aber zuerst noch mit einem Fleckenentferner ein, wenn es ganz hartnäckig ist) und schon die Farben besser als andere Waschmittel. Durch die Megaperls entsteht auch weniger Schmutz, wenn mal was versehentlich daneben gepatzt wird.
