100% Pure Wool Felt Fabric - 1mm Thick - Green Flash - 40cm x 50cm

pleased with this felt having previously used acrylic felt which was thin and stretched. This felt is robust feeling and thick but easy to sew. I used it on paws for vintage teddy bears. Good colour for that too. I would buy again.

If you’re planning to use this for embroidery (as I was) make sure you wash it first in lukewarm water until the water runs clear. The colour DOES run initially, and there’s probably some shrinkage (I didn’t measure before/after). But it’s not advertised as colour-fast, so I’m not deducting any stars. I’m just posting as advice to others. It’s a lovely material, and a very consistent black. Minimal fuzz so far while working with it.

Soft but not too thick. Love the colour and quality of this. I use as backing in slow stitch projects. Good value.

The quality of the felt is great so I can’t fault that. However I ordered 2x 40cm x 50cm, which should mean I should receive a metre long (100cm) piece of fabric. Instead I received fabric which is 50cm wide and 80cm long. Therefore I received less fabric than I should have.

Wow - I'm very impressed with this felt fabric. I buy an awful lot of felt for crafting and am always looking for a decent thickness. I was hesitant to purchase this item at first because it says "1mm". In fact, it's 2mm which is perfect for me. Another issue I have is finding nice bright colours that aren't synthetic. This felt is a vivid turquoise, so I wasn't disappointed. The photo seems more of a blue and is slightly lighter than the real thing, but otherwise not too inaccurate.
