Golf cart heater
This is a great little unit. However, I believe it is best suited for a covered golf cart. While using with an open cart the heat can’t keep up. You can keep your hands warm but as soon as you move the cold wind eliminates any heat benefit. I spent most of the time turning it on and off as you move through your round of golf. For covered carts this thing is awesome. It had me sweating with the doors zipped up. Even had the other group in my foursome wanting to sit in for a bit to warm up.

Gets Hot, just ventilate it well
Great way to heat up the cab of my utv. Plenty of air circulation so works to help keep cab warm

Bulkier than I thought it would be, but works well...
Arrived on time, upon opening the heater I found it was much larger than I had anticipated. The unit is very top heavy and the cup holder adapter wouldn't work with my CFMoto SxS. I ended up bolting the unit to my grab bar.I used the heater last weekend for a 50 mile ride, it functioned well. The tip shut off did not cause any issues when hitting bumps at higher speeds.Overall it I'd a very good heater. Would be perfect if it wasn't so tippy.

Truth in Mr Heater
Ok...rarely....very rarely, do i review anything. This is because most products fall into the "OK" range, with nothing extra-ordinary either way...kind of what we expect when we buy a product as a consumer. Then their are the products that exceed...both ways. This one is in the suck city category...Mark you say, that's maybe too critical, you got a lemon. NO...no i did not, a pattern of suckitood, and approaching an entirely new category of suckyness is at work here. A little background here...grab yourself a cup-a-joe & a snuggie.....My brothers - 3 of them have all purchased at one time or another a "personal heater" for camping, hunting, girlfriend -cold on the porch thing, you get the idea...we should have bought stock in the company between us.Over the years, about 10 in all we have tried all of them, every single one has died at some point - some after few days...the record probably being 6-8 months. Igniters quit, wont stay lit ect ect ect....worthless POS's, but cheap heat & hope that no one company could put out this much crap kept us trying from season to season in 4 different households.Fast forward...we have a virtual graveyard of dead "mr heater products, cluttering up dead corners of the garages in hopes that the next new can of propane you put on it next year will somehow magically fix the crap you bought...nope...This "golf cart" heater was the last straw...worked out of the box, used in a UTV with a soft cab...first week no problem, then as it had so many time before mr heater bit me square in the A$$ & would start going out if you sneezed...then would not stay lit. Now let me be clear, i store the propane in the laundry room...nice & warm...as well as the heater, its lit & heating before we hit the front door...nope, not anymore...2.5 weeks. pilot ignites, never lights the heater...you can hold the "start button for 5 min...inside...in the heat, nothing.Look if you want to take a chance, ha ha ha...that on you pal, but when your butt deep in snow, or camping somewhere remote I hope you don't forget your matches...because your "mr heater" will anything but work.

Won't work in Polaris Ranger; Cannot Return
The included base has metal prongs that seem like they should hold the base tight in the cup-holder, but the whole heater is top heavy and any little bit of jarring will pop it out.I purchased this unit thinking it would be a great way to get some cheap heat in my enclosed cab Polaris Ranger. It does not fit in the cup holders on the dash and will pop out of the center, lower cup holders. I also tried to install it in a kolpin center console and that was worse. Definitely not the right heat application for the job without making a custom mount.I installed the propane cylinder and it took several clicks for it to ignite. Not a big deal since it was a new heater and new tank. I didn't notice much initial smell like burning lint or packing oil. Once fired up it operates fine and would kick out plenty of heat for my application.I like the fact that it has a wind screen on it and I could see where that would be a benefit for outdoor use. I have a few ideas on how to secure this in my ranger for snow plowing and fall/spring trail riding applications, but as is I can't recommend it.I subtracted 1 star for the flimsy base that would affect any cup-holder type application (not just golf carts) and 1 star because the item isn't returnable. I would probably subtract an additional star for my general disappointment in this product and transaction, but that wouldn't be fair.
