Simple - Plug N Play - Works
This has been a good PoE expansion switch for our CCTV installations. It's affordable, and offers GBe connectivity for the uplink and NVR connectivity. It's a perfect fit as the brackets included make it easy to mount on a wall, and since the cameras we use only use 100mbe, it works in that situation. I would not use this for WAPs or high bandwidth applications. Our 8MP cameras only use about 8-10MBps of bandwidth, so having a 1gbps connection to the NVR means it doesn't reach anywhere near the bandwidth capacity. If you're doing a simple installation without the need of managed switches nor cameras / network equipment requiring above 100mbps connectivity, this has shown to work great. We have installed 20 units so far without any issues.

work just fine, so a great deal for the little money
Amazon is dumb, they are asking my to rate the wifi signal from this wired router. Next they will ask about the picture quality for an audiobook. Anyway, I've been using this for about a month now, and haven't had any troubles with it. I have 5 security cameras, a dvr, and a connection to the rest of my network plugged in, and there haven't been any glitches. The only downside that I can think of is that there is a slight hum coming from the box, but it's only noticeable if everything else in the area is off, so generally not a problem. I do wonder what is causing that, since there is no fan.

My unit might just be defective, but it doesn't work as well as expected. UPDATED 6-6-2020
This appears to be a nice 120W 8+2 port POE+ switch with nice features, but once I started plugging things in, there were unexpected problems. If you plan to use this device to its max capacity, you might want to consider something else. Seller's support was very prompt, but basically unhelpful, which is why I don't know if my unit is defective.FIRST TRY: I plugged in an at (30W max) POE+ device followed by 3 af (15W max) POE devices for a total maximum usage of 75W (my power meter said it was only using 16W total, but the meter may not be accurate at such low wattage). These devices (all cameras) worked as expected for several days. Then I tried to plug in an af POE clock, but while the clock initially powered up, it almost immediately powered down and started power cycling about every second.. It never made a network connection. Since I had two clocks I tried the other, with the same result. I contacted the seller and while waiting for a reply, I tested two of the POE clock on two other POE switches. The clocks worked as expected, even when both connected to the same switch.TRY TWO: After receiving a reply from the seller asking for more information, I tried this with the switch in question-: 1. Connect only the af clock (now worked well). Then connect the other devices: at, af, af, af. All worked as expected. Apparently the switch is sensitive to the order of connection. THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN. The switch has 3 spare ports, but I don't know if I can ever use them. I sent more details to the seller, and received a prompt reply which wasn't very helpful.RECOMMENDATION: If you want to buy this switch for its nice features, load it up when you first get it, so that you can return it if it fails to meet specs. Or better yet, buy something else, and fully test it as well. I am keeping this switch because it does what I want for now, and its size and price makes it better than the others I could find. I might regret this choice later.UPDATE: After further correspondence with the seller, they offered a refund. I declined, because although the unit doesn't seem to work right, it works well enough for my present needs, and finding a better unit might be tedious. They gave me a refund of 25% of the cost of the unit, which seemed fair under the circumstances. I added one star to the rating in recognition of the refund. I would have rated it 5 stars if it had worked as advertised.

Finally a silent PoE switch!
The media could not be loaded. I got this fanless PoE switch because I was tired of the fan noise from my ZyXEL ES100 switch. Setup was super easy, as expected, I just plugged everything in and that was it. All the cameras came back online, the video quality looked just as good, and now I don't have to listen to that constant drone of the fan. Included in the box is a power cord, a couple metal brackets, and some screws. The power cord is just a standard PC power cord so no bulky power brick to hide and easily replaceable if needed. I assume the brackets are for mounting but for now I'm just keeping it sitting on a shelf like my original one. This doesn't have the built in wall mount screw holes like my previous one so if you want to wall mount it then you'll need the brackets, unfortunately. I don't know why they couldn't just include a couple mounting holes on the back, it's not like those holes have to be very deep.My original switch has 8 PoE ports but since I only have two cameras hooked up and one pending I decided to go with a 4-port switch to save a little cash. This switch can be extended should I ever get more. Unlike my original switch, this one has the ethernet ports on the front which has the advantage of easier access but may not look as nice, if you care about that. The power cord port is on the back which means you can't push the switch all the way back so it's flush to the wall. After a week of use we are very happy with it, especially since it was only $32.I hope you found my review helpful, please let me know in the comments if you have any questions or suggestions for improvement. Thanks a bunch!

Does what it should. Couldn't ask for more
I used this to power some POE cameras that I picked up, and it did just what it says. Plugged it in, it powered on, and plugged in the cameras and uplink without any issue. I like that the box is metallic and that it comes with some mounting ears and screws so I can mount it flat on the wall.I haven't tried any of the VLAN stuff, or to extend it long distance as I simply don't need that in this situation. So far, I'd recommend this easily, especially at this price.

Very pleased with this 8 port POE switch
I am using it to run 2 TPlink POE wifi hot spots and 3 POE cameras. I have a 10 ft CAT-8 cable connecting my router to the switch that I mounted to the basement ceiling. From the switch, there are CAT-6 cables to the devices. The longest run is about 100 ft to a camera and it works perfectly.

Works well
Easy to install and provides plenty of power for my cameras. Only complaint is a slight buzz which isn’t a problem where it’s located but could be an issue for some.
