Product Description Invisibl Skratch Piklz founder & Beastie Boys' resident DJ Mix Master Mike will be unleashing a new solo effort entitled Bangzilla on October 19th via Scratch Recordings/Immortal Records. In true bugged-out MMM fashion, the album features a variety of sound effects & turntable wizardry, gunshots, sirens, & scratchmatic effervescences melding together to create a rich, aural pastiche of hip-hop atmoshperia. About the Artist Mix Master Mike (MMM): One of the premier scratch artists of the day, Beastie Boys DJ, the first West Coast DJ to become World Champion, and founding member of the most influential turntablist crew in history, the Invisible Skratch Piklz. In addition, MMM is all over the new Beastie Boys album To The 5 Buroughs and was featured on their previous release Hello Nasty, especially on the track "3 Emcees and 1 DJ". After the release of Hello Nasty, MMM released his first solo production album Anti-Theft Device that has sold over 75,000 units. His other releases Eye of the Cyclops EP, his first ever mix CD Spin Cycle and The Return of th Cyclops have combined to Soundscan an additional 80,000 copies. Never known to take a break, Mikes credits also include his weekly "Spin Psycle" radio show on KROQ-FM Los Angeles, as well as working with EA Sports on SSX 1 and SSX 2 video games and on Jet Grind Radio for Sony Dreamcast.

Compared to Anti-Theft Device
While Anti-Theft Device uses scratching more as a motif in the background of flowing samples and dope beats, Bangzilla pushes forward with more scratching upfront and a less dystopic feel. It's only downfall is if you prefer a more produced and song-like flow that was persistent on Anti-Theft Device. While Anti-Theft feels almost excessive with its many layers, Bangzilla feels more spontaneous and has more braggadocio, favoring furious scratching and more abrupt rhythms than Anti-Theft. While Anti-Theft lends itself more to being used as `background music' Bangzilla is a record you can't ignore while on, because of its nature. That may be a good or a bad thing depending on if you are impressed more by song composition(ATD) or technical riffing(Bangzilla). Which record you prefer will largely depend on whether you want more focused journey or insane cuts.

intergallactic beats
Mix master mike has really worked on his beats this time. i give him props for that. what i miss is like a scratch-theme in each track like dj revolution, dj premier are doing using acapellas and making own lyrics, sentences with it.Overall the album is ok, but not a classic.

Mix- MIx-MIx Masta!
Alright, MIKE IS BACK!!! I don't think Mike is capable of dropping a bad album, and this one is no acception. The whole damn LP is DOPE! you can really tell he worked on the production side alot more this time. His beats BANG in the stereo and the scratching is straight NASTY. standard MMM is always better than most's top notch. i just wish the beastie's would let him do more of his thing on their albums. to the 5 boroughs let him shine alittle...but they should let him have a track like "babu in deep concentration" on the new dialated LP. But nonetheless, this man is DOPE. BUY THIS AND CRY TEARS OF JOY! NO BOOTLEGGING!!!!!

The Mix Master
Mix Master Mike has done it again, with his latest album Bangzilla he demonstrates once again that he is the true Mix Master. Bangzilla is the Mix Master on two turn tables making his songs fresh from many cuts, alot like the style of Anti-Theft Device. I would recommend this album to anyone interested even the slightest in turntableizm. A must buy!

Banging..!
Quality beats on the record with some cool samples but overall the album gets a bit repetitive towards the end. Good for the money!

伊達じゃない
ビースティのDJを務めているだけに半端じゃないカッコ良さで、時間があっという間に過ぎてしまいます。他のアルバムより、こちらの方が終始ノリノリでお勧めのような気がします。捨て曲なし。買いですよ。
