Great ice pack
The best part of this item is the quality of the gel pack. It is a very well built gel pack and I love it. The brace is large enough to fit around my leg and I typically buy XL or XXL braces. There is rubber on the top and bottom to help keep it in place and it works. It can also be used on your arm.I did have the zipper break open once but it went right back together. There is not much between your skin and the gel pack but that is ok.

Icy cold goodness!
I've only used this as a cold knee brace to hold ice on my knee. It deserves a million stars for that! The ice pack goes inside a moisture-resistant pocket in the brace and then the brace wraps around your knee and is held in place by 3 separate straps. This allows the ice pack to cover a large portion of your knee (and above and below by a few inches). It is also VERY cold! I haven't used this for support, just for the ice pack, but with the straps tightened you can walk around with the ice pack on.

Works Really Well
My wife has been having issues with her knee, so I ordered this heat/cooling pack for her. As soon as it arrived at home, she used it immediately. We have only used the cooling pack for her knee, so we have not heated it up yet.We placed it in the freezer as instructed for 2 hours. After that, she placed the pack in a nifty zippered compartment where it fits perfectly. It gives her some support but the real purpose is to provide heat or cold to the knee. Works well and would recommend.

Too Small!
This was not disclosed to us, but it says clearly on box “Small/Medium”. It’s for my son who is 6’ 3”, 200” lbs, so definitely not a Small/Medium!! I am super disappointed as he is having surgery Tomorrow!! Not sure what we’re going to do, but I guess we’ll have to MacGyver something for him.

Great item
Finally received the order Thursday. First one I have no idea where it went I asked our mail man and he didn't work Sunday there was another person making deliveries that day. So he has no idea what happened to the first order even tho it was scanned and said it was delivered to me in Sunday and I checked my mailbox that day nothing waiter Monday and still nothing. The item is exactly what I expected. I have a bad knee from years of sports. My work now is a bartender/ server during concerts and sporting events. So will be nice for my knee to have support and comfort after those long shifts.

Way too long -
This wrap will painfully freeze your thighs and shins. You have to be a giant to have 10 inch knees?Update: The material between the ice pack is extremely thin. I ended up with an ice-burn on my knees.

Supportive, quality knee brace with cold/hot pack
My Fiancé occasionally suffers from an uncomfortable knee, which clicks, so I thought I would order this knee wrap with a cold/hot gel pack to see if it would help. This is what he thought:“My knee is not painful as such, so doesn't really need heat/cold as opposed to support. I'm going to use the terms brace and knee wrap interchangably In this review. The brace itself is of very good quality. It is sizeable and extends both above and below the knee. The brace wraps around the knee and is held in position by three straps which are fastened by Velcro: one on the thigh, one on the calf and one that fastens behind the knee. They are easily positioned and adjusted to give a suitable tightness.I have found that the knee brace itself gives excellent support to my knee and I have mostly used it without inserting the cold/hot pack. I was also able to wear the brace for most of the day without any discomfort. I found it very comfortable over trousers without the gel pack. I was also able to feel the heat from the gel pack through both the knee wrap and my trousers. The cold/hot pack works and it is easily inserted into the brace and held in place by a zip in a pouch, that is moisure proof to prevent condensation - I found this to be the case. The gel pack fits well and the zip closes and opens easily.Do note, that I found the instructions slightly ambiguous to start with. The instructions refer to the 'pouch' as being the compartment for the gel pack withing the brace itself and the pack is the cold pack. When the instructions on the gel pack stated the 'pouch' should not be placed in the microwave, we were perplexed, initally thinking that this was the gel pack. However, re-reading the instructions on the gel pack, they confirmed that the gel pack itself was suitable for use in microwave ovens rated up to 1400 W. The pack heating time is based on an 800 W oven, so they should be reduced proportionately for higher powered ovens. We wondered why the instructions said not to put the pouch in the microwave, when the pouch is inseperable from the knee brace itself. Moreover, the instructions do refer to 'the pack' in step 1.While re-reading of the instructions helped, the printing on the gel pack helped more. Knowing that these heatable inserts (the gel pack) are sometimes called pouches, this added to the confusion. This ambiguity would be my only criticism of this product which is of good quality and functional. In practice, as detailed above, I found this knee wrap very supportive and accordingly I can recommend it to others.”

A lot of pressure
While this is a good idea - a way to hold an icepack onto a knee - if you have a pressure sensitive injury, as I have stitches from a knee scope, this can press too hard. After a few hours in the freezer the icepack gets pretty dense and inflexible. If you are further along your recovery, of just have a sore knee, this might be the ticket. Otherwise a regular icepack works just as well.

Well made, though gel pad takes longer to heat than manufacturers instructions
I have arthritis, so often need knee support and therapy, so was really looking forward to receiving this for review. When I first received the product I was surprised at the weight of it, as it’s heavier than others I’ve used, and that’s because the size of the gel pack is quite large so it gives you good coverage around the knee joint co earring the cap and the joints and tendons at the sides, so actually that’s a big plus. It’s just not something I would walk around in too much because of the weight, whereas lighter ones I do.The knee wrap brace has a dual function. It can be used just as a knee brace for support and then you add the gel pack for therapeutic treatment. In a size 14/16 and wondered if the S/M knee brace may be too small, but it fitted really well and can I would say fit both small and medium knees/legs easily as it has plenty of adjustable velcro on the straps, which holds very well.To use the therapeutic element you need to warm the gel pack on the microwave first. According to the instructions you blast it for then seconds on both sides first then add more seconds of you need to. When I did this the gel was still practically cold with very little heat generated, and that was in a 900W microwave. The gel pack it says should not be put 8n the microwave more than four times on the trot and for no longer than 60 seconds in total. So I went up to the 60 second mark in shortish bursts but still found that after a total of 60 seconds that it was still only lukewarm, which I was a little bemused about. So in my microwave I needed to heat it for 90 seconds total in up to four bursts trining the gel pack in between in order to get to therapeutic temperature, which is outside of the manufacturers recommendation, but works for me. I have a great many gel based therapeutic heat bags and the one I used regularly for my back takes 90 seconds in the microwave to heat, so on that basis I feel it is fine for this gel pack, which is slightly bigger overall. When the gel pack is up to therapeutic temperature, then it slides not the zipped compartment in the knee brace, which is lined to e sure no moisture/condensation can leak out. It’s very well designed in that aspect and the gel bag Satan’s in place very firmly. You can also put the bag in the freezer for a couple of hour to provide cold therapy, and that SLO works well, and the lined locket for the gel bag comes into its own when using the gel pack frozen. One thing to note os that you can’t out the bag into the microwave from frozen, you need to let it cool to room temperature before heating it up.So overall this is a good therapeutic and supportive brace, which is well designed. My only niggle is that the gel pack doesn’t get warm enough within the manufacturer’s time specification, so it loses a star for that. Price point wise, it is on the more expensive side of these things, though is well made. If you’re using this type of support a lot then it’s worth the investment, but if it’s just a one off there are other cheaper versions on the market that may work just as well for you.

Good for comfort while at home
This knee wrap is bulky when it has the cold/hot pack inserted. It does provide some support but it is more of a wrap than a brace. The pack works well as a compress though I would opt for the fridge rather than the freezer unless it is placed in the freezer for a short time. The pack took over a minute ( I tested it in 10 second bursts at first then went to 20 seconds) to heat, sort of, in our microwave and it heated very unevenly. The areas around the borders heated up while the center remained cool. It could be used for relief using heat, though in my tests the results were not great. The wrap itself is easy to apply to the knee area. Two flaps one way with the smaller one opposing the larger two. The material is good for mild support. I think this wrap is best suited for use at home. The reusable ice/heat pack fits into the pocket nicely.
