Good solution for retro PCs
Good solution for retro-builds. It doesn't support booting from the TF/SD cards fdisk-ed out of that adapter - only up-to-2GB partitions are able to boot. But - if TF/SD card has been partitioned using that adapter - than it can boot from partitions larger than 2GB.

Works exactly as advertised
I used this to replace the IDE HDD for my Windows 98/DOS retro PC. At first I was very skeptical of using an SD card for a W98/DOS installation, but it has been a flawless process. This thing is so incredibly useful, I love it! I ended up buying a second one to store things to as well.

Works great on a Gateway P2-400 PC.
This worked out of the box for me on an old Gateway TBR2-400 PC I got on eBay for my retro gaming fix. Old BIOS picked up the device with no issues. Haven't installed Windows 98se on it from CDs yet but I did test a FreeDOS 1.3 install CD on it and that went perfectly for me. The only down side of this product is it doesn't come with any kind of mounting bracket for either the expansion slot or drive bays.

works but needs tweaking
tried to setup a 4GB HD for win98SE. your BIOS settings may need some tweaking.downloaded the 263044USA8 file from microsoft that has 2 versions of fdisk in it.needed to use the 64,460 byte version of Fdisk.exe for win98SE, (fdisk.98s).redo partitioning & formatting from a bootable floppy.had to use the /MBR option of FDISK.EXE to make it work: "FDISK /MBR" to fix bad code in the MBR, deleting partition alone doesn't fix the MBR.now have a working 4GB HD :).

Using it on a old PC, works like it should.
Currently using this with an 128gb Samsung SD card inside a old PC. Have Windows 98se installed on the SD card, and it is very fast. For some reason, it feels like it's running off of an SSD. Maybe because SD cards are solid state as well?

UPDATE: After PRAM Reset, it is working great on G3!
UPDATE: I brought another one as I acquired a Powermac G4 and didn’t want a slow hard drive. It works perfectly. It also works great on the iMac G3 after doing a PRAM reset. I changed my rating from 3 to 5.Original 3 star review:Installed this on the iMac G3 it sometimes freezes- not sure if sd card or ide adapter problem but works fast when works

Works with OG Xbox
This works just fine on the original Xbox (Modded), just be sure to pop in a hexen disk and format the SD card.

Does not work some controllers
This is a nice product, but did not work for me as I hoped. I was trying to replace the drive in an old Korg digital mixer, and it would not recognize this. I tried several other computer boards and a couple USB drive adapters, which all worked fine. It would be nice if this had a way to emulate older drives, but that's a bit complicated for this price range.Transfer speed seems good, I didn't run any speed tests as my "junk" motherboards and controllers are a bottleneck and wouldn't give a fair evaluation.
