It’s always funny/annoying to me when I see reviewers complain about ropes only lasting a day or two lol. I can save you some time and let you know that ropes are only meant to be interactive tug of war toys for you and your dog (or two dog’s playing together), and there is not a single rope out there that will stand up to being ripped apart if you just let your dog use it as a chew toy. They will pin it down under their paws, and they will rip at the strands individually until the whole things comes apart (which can be terrible for their stomachs if they eat a bunch of the strands).Anyway, as for this rope, it is indeed sturdy enough when you’re using it to play with your dog, but if you are looking for something to throw out onto the floor as a distraction, then ropes are never going to be a good option for that. Bring this thing out when you are ready to play with your dog, and store it somewhere when you aren’t using it!

This rope is a sturdy soft and thick rope, not too heavy, perfect size for any dog! Worth every cent!

I've purchased these at least 3 times over the years for my dogs. The large rope is big enough that 2 (sometimes even 3) can tug on it at once. When one of my dogs has this in his mouth, there's enough left over for another dog to latch on while he's running around with it, and they love to try to keep it away from each other. Highly recommended and these last a long time with lots of abuse, chewing and tugging. The mint smell is a bonus, but it doesn't last long if your dog plays with it outside.

I originally found this rope years ago at a Petsmart, and decided to give it a try due to the dental benefits it lists. It quickly became my dog's favorite chew toy, and the durability of this rope is above all others I have tried. Any other rope toys I have bought for her have been torn to shreds within 2-3 days, but this rope tends to last at least a couple weeks, if not longer. When she does manage to shred it, it does leave a lot of little strings all over the house, but what rope won't?The price on Amazon simply can't be beat, easily beating the pet store's prices by five dollars or more, which is great since my dog loves to go through these ropes as quickly as possible. It also keeps her teeth nice and clean, so it's a winner in my book.

The rope is nice and I liked the price. But the threads making up the rope are pretty loose and the photos are after one good session of tug and a couple of minutes of her playing alone. She’s a small-medium dog about 20lbs. Not a heavy chewer. Her teeth still pulled some of the threads loose and I’m not optimistic about the longevity of the rope overall. However, it is fun while it lasts!

Update: Finally after year two, our feisty basenji Maggie got one of the knots loose and started unraveling the end. So I'm back to buy another one. This continues to be her favorite toy when she visits. We're just amazed at how long it has lasted! By the way, we just cut off the untied knot section of the rope and kept the two-knot rope to see how much longer it lasts.This was a gift for my daughter's basenji, who loves tug toys, but quickly destroys most of them. We've had this for about a year now, and it's still intact. It's the first toy Maggie runs for when she comes to visit me. She'll play tug for a while and then take it by the center knot and shake it like crazy. The three knots are very sturdy and have held up very well. The braiding between the knots is tight and firm. This toy still looks like new (except for a little dirt). It appears to be made of cotton, and I'm sure I could throw it in the washing machine if needed.

My daughter has a frenchie and this is a very good size for him. He enjoys playing with it so it must be a good rope.
