The device I was shipped did not have an off button either and heeding the warning of others I've always unplugged it before exiting my car. I have also seen that some people have gotten replacements that DO have off buttons, though I'm not concerned because I have a jumper pack in the case of a dead battery. But lets move on from that and talk about the good aspects. This thing works, and it works great. It's super cheap, super portable and small, and it connects to my phone every time without issues. Even after unplugging it, either it or my phone remembers the connection and as soon as I plug it in they both connect without me having to press anything. The interface on the device is also very straight forward and it has play/pause and song skip functionality in the knob. I maybe would have preferred this to be a button and not a twisting action because sometimes I turn it too much going over a bump and skip 2 songs by accident, but it's an added functionality that I don't think needed to be there and it's definitely appreciated. The signal to my radio is great too. I've had other AM/FM transmitters that didn't even have Bluetooth and they sounded like crap and would get interference from incoming radio stations. This device has no static and great sound even at high volumes. I'm a bass head and my music sounds great coming from this thing. The plastic housing is solid and it's a snug fit in my cigarette lighter. The included USB and C-Type charging ports are just an added bonus and honestly I can't recommend this product enough! Review: Great sound that just works! - FM Transmitter tech has come a long way. I bought a similar unit March 2008 from Woot - a Philips model. Despite having programmable frequencies, the audio quality and range was poor. I bought this one recently to put into a new vehicle that only has a CD player, set it to 107.7, and stuck in a USB thumb drive with mp3's. It instantly began playing, with very good sound quality and loudness. None of the usual crackling of poor FM transmission. I then tried it with Bluetooth. The volume wasn't quite as loud from Bluetooth as from playing on a USB thumb drive, but still very good sound quality. The controls are simple, the buttons are solid and very clear when you've pressed them, and it just works, and works very well for the price. I haven't tried it for longer driving periods yet or tried the charger ports, but I expect those to work just as well as the rest of the unit. However, it does what I want it to flawlessly; I have an easy way to get bluetooth connection to my phone through FM radio that sounds very good quality and with minimal fuss or hassle. The Extra bass button works well and is a nice added touch, with good bass sound. It was a good price, good value and just simply works and does what it's designed for very well with a compact, clean design. That's pretty much everything I could ask for, especially considering that I'd tried to use similar units years ago and they almost never worked well. Kudos for a good product!

I’d recommend this to anyone who doesn’t have Bluetooth integration in their car stereo
The bad... Like most devices that plug into a cig lighter socket they will temporarily lose power if bumped though this doesn’t affect charging adapters much it will cause a reset and reconnect with a Bluetooth device. My cig lighter shares the same space as my cup holder... so bumping this is only a problem if drinking while driving 👀. Another common problem for any FM transmission device is local radio interference which cause degraded sound quality, excessive background noise and sometimes a complete loss of signal. My last gripe relates to the first, power interruption. There are buttons and a rotary knob on the device it takes extreme care to operate them without having the unit power down and disconnect. It can be done however, otherwise this unit would be a 1 star return. Now for the good! This unit does what it supposed to do very well. The FM transmitter is adjustable in .1 increments (many are .2 steps 102.1 to 102.3 etc). The fine adjustment seems to make a difference in crowded FM territory ( I live near Los Angeles). That said the amount of interference and dropouts based on FM radio reception are almost unnoticed and far better than any device like this I’ve used in the past. Another solid plus is the fidelity. The sound quality is very good and with a built in ‘bass enhancement’ feature (user selectable) the quality competes with the best FM broadcasts I’ve heard. A final plus is the phone connectivity it requires the typical turn up the stereo but the sound quality is decent and I’m not getting complaints from people I talk to while driving. I’d recommend this to anyone who doesn’t have Bluetooth integration in their car stereo and since I coupled mine with the Amazon Auto product I couldn’t be happier!

I've had FM transmitters before, many years ago (itrip anyone?) , and they always struggled to stay on a station. I used to have to change stations about every 10km of distance. This thing has been great. I found an empty station easily, set it to match and it has worked perfectly. I've driven over a distance of about 150km without needing to change the station, it never dropped out once. MY phone connects to it very quickly when the car starts up. It charges a nintendo switch and two USB devices at once. Saying "Hey Siri" on my phone will connect straight away so I can stay truly hands-free. I haven't tried making any calls on it but am otherwise happy. I'd been thinking of spending hundreds of dollars to replace the headset on my car with a new one, but this has made me happy for a very cheap price.

I had tried so many like appliances (FM Radio Transmitter). This one is the most favorable for the following reasons (despite that I have been using it for short time, I may write an update if necessary): 1. It connected quickly and continuously to my mobile phone. 2. Its sound is clear and amazing. 3. Its mic works very well, I even tried it in phone calls.

I upgraded - Yes, upgraded to this device from the Echo auto and the ease of use + sound quality is great. Another bonus is the clutter free setup vs all the cables that are required for the Echo Auto. This FM - Bluetooth device also sounds better with less engine static than the Echo auto. Waiting to see what the next version of the Echo Auto looks like before I move away from this setup. It just works.

Bluetooth connected fine Tuned in well and then tweaked the fm station a little to get the best sound I could Sound is a little too bassy and there is a little noise but works well for an fm signal Worked well for an imported Japanese car with low fm band frequencies with 90.0 as the max the car could do Connects quickly I could only get one iPhone to connect to it at a time, had to manually disconnect from Bluetooth on one phone in order to connect the other

Gave as a gift to a friend. He've been using it in different cars and trucks for months and the device still working in perfect conditions. Easy to connect and no problem in managing the songs. Some people may find a bit big, but for the price this is amazing!
