Oliver!

This soundtrack is very easy to understand and the voices very impressive. Being a fan of the movie I was presently surprised to be introduced to several songs that the movie did not include. The voice of the actors who portrayed Oliver and Jack Dawkins (The Artful Dodger) amazing. They were very accomplished. The sound is just as clear as if it had been recorded yesterday. I highly recommend it.

Have always loved this show and it's songs, that's why I bought the CD. Growing up, this was one of my baby sister's favorite albums so I already knew all the words and can sing along (some things I never forget). And I don't think I've heard these songs since she was a child (she's 55 now) so it was wonderful to listen to the CD.

Nice replacement of the album I loved listening to in the early '60s. One of the most memorable music and lyrics of all time and, for those more familiar with the film version soundtrack, do yourself a favor and experience the more gritty Bway cast with Georgia Brown, Clive Reville. Both film and theater versions were great, but Oliver! hits my top 10 list for best thetatrical musicals from the (gulp!) last century.Enjoy!

This has been a favorite show since I used to play it (over and over) as a high school student. I "lost" it for a time when I had no means to play my vinyl recordings. It is great to have the CD so I can sing along again with the rollicking tunes (and sometimes even the soliloquies). It's a show for the ages!

but I already did, a month ago. I assume it can be found in the stack somewhere if one looks hard enough. I like the show. This is not a bad presentation of it, but other reviewers like the movie version or a different stage version better.

A treasure! Today's playwrights and lyricists should take heed and learn from the great masters of the past. There are so many memorable songs in this play...can't say that about most of today's products.

I'm not sure what was meant by the "Eco-Friendly Packaging" - the CD arrived in a regular jewel case with plastic covering, in a bubble-wrap envelope. It did arrive in good shape, though. Haven't listened to it yet, but will shortly.

Perfect for practicing our songs for the play.
