Transformed my computing experience in the best way yet.
UPDATE Nov 2018 - I now have 4 Freedom Arms on my desk! One of them is the Freedom Arm HD version for my new 4k monitor. Contrary to what the top reviewer has stated, the arm holds up this huge heavy monitor perfectly. My 43" 4k monitor weighs 32lbs. Maybe that reviewer did not adjust the spring on the arm to hold up the monitor??? Also, I needed to purchase a 200x200 VESA adapter plate. I now have included a couple photos of my desk with the new monitor + arm installed. The fourth monitor is just temporary; wanted to show what is possible with the arms!UPDATE June 2016 - I now own 3 of these arms for 3 separate 27" 1440p monitors. I have two on the sides of my desk and now one mounted to the back/center of the desk (after making some modification to allow mounting, as I originally mentioned). These mounts are excellent; a requirement for me from now on. After years of use, they have held up perfectly. Everyone that has seen them in person, wants one. The increase in productivity and ergonomics has way more than justified the cost of the arms. My entire desk is available now and eye fatigue and back pain are greatly reduced since I can ergonomically position the monitors in an ideal orientation. If you have a solid desk and a monitor that supports a VESA mount, BUY THIS ARM!I have this badboy installed on a 1440p 27" korean off brand monitor. It is a great screen but it had a lame monitor stand (no adjustment at all and wobbly). This monitor arm comes highly recommended by reviewers on YouTube so I decided to try to solve my monitor positioning issues with it.It sure did transform my monitor into something great. This thing is great. I can move it in close, hovering over my keyboard (which could not have been done before with the traditional stand), or I can move it back and up in the air to completely free up space on my desk if need be. I love this product. As others have said, the quality is very impressive and feel like they went above and beyond the value of what I paid.I will most definitely be buying more of these or similar products from Ergotech. Here are some things of note:- The desk clamp-mount needs a square edged desk to mount solidly. My desk has rounded edges on the front and back, but not on the sides. Because of this, I was forced to mount it on the side, which is not ideal but still works with my setup.- My monitor is fairly heavy for a flat panel because of it's size...the monitor arm still holds it in the air just fine after I adjusted the tension spring. Not much else to say: anyone who has one of these has to love it.Because I mounted this on the side of my desk, I think this will be perfect to orient the screen vertically next to a new primary screen.

Solid monitor arm, recommended buy.
This is a great arm, solid construction, smooth operation. It stays where you put it.Using this arm on a 34" Ultrawide that weighs 14 lbs (6.35 kg) for almost 6 months with no issues. The tension is adjustable so simply adjust it for the weight of your monitor. This arm can handle the weight. From the specs, it would seem like it is not compatible with a 34" inch monitor but if the weight falls within its specs, you can use it.I think the only reason for excluding a 34" is if you want to use it in portrait mode. If it's curved why would you use it in portrait mode. You might be able to swing it if you set the stop ring near the top of the support pole. I set it low because of the monitor height.I have the monitor bottom sitting about a 1/2" off the desk. This way I don't need to lift my head too far up or at all to see the top of screen. This is to eliminate neck strain. If your desk is not against a wall like mine, you can swing a 34" monitor out pass the desk, put it in portrait mode and then swing it back. It's the corner that might catch the desk. A smaller monitor, 30" can be swung into portrait while still above the desk. A 32" will probably work but you'll have to position the stop ring higher. The flaw I see in the design is the clamp. It's a C-clamp with rubber feet to secure it and protect the desk and does a great job.If your desk has an overhang and depending on the thickness of it, the 'C' part of the clamp may not be deep enough to get around it.This was my issue, I have an old Sauder desk where you had to put it together. Removed the screws for the overhang and as a bonus, the wood behind it was finished. No issue with the C-Clamp now.The C-Clamp should be redesigned for desks with overhangs, a 1/2" deeper would have done the trick.Install Tip1) Secure base 38 cm (15 in) off centre.2) Set bottom of stop ring 6.35 cm (2.5 in) from bottom of post.3) Do not damage the pole, secure stop ring very lightly.4) Locking ring that slides on top of the stop ring is what secures the arm to the pole and prevents the arm from sliding down.

Fuerte y confiable
Super recomendado.

It works!
I had bought another make of arm from amazon (not their own make) and had to return it cos the instructions were crap and when i tried to adjust the tension it made no difference - so I went for this after seeing reviews of it on YouTube. It is some piece of kit! Comes basically in two parts and was up and working within 15 minutes. Tension adjustment works just fine. The main reason for buying this model was that my desk is hard against the wall. A lot of these arms when you rotate them will jut out behind the desk so don't work so well with desks against the wall - this one does!

Outstanding solid quality
This is one time you would not be disappointed by the high ratings. The product deserves all of the 5 stars and more. It is packed very well in its custom pack with everything you need, included in the pack. 4 different types of screws, two sets of spacers in case your monitor mount area is recessed, allen keys - everything. Also, to note, due to its design with a vertical pole that mounts on the edge of the table, you dont need to make allowance for any space in between the table and the wall. You may need to 'move' the vertical pole by rial and error and off centre, till you figure out the correct location for your monitor. One thing to note is there is no instruction on how to route the cables, but its not difficult to figure out.Highly recommended product.

Worth the wait and money.
Its a little expensive, but, and i can't say this enough, its worth every rupee.I knew going in that my monitor (24" samsung curved monitor) was lighter than what the specs of the arm specified, so i was prepared to hang a little weight to the arm. But at the lowest setting of the arm, it works brilliantly. I didn't have to add any weight at all. (It doesn't go all the way down, i will consider adding weights much later probably) I went with this one over the other cheaper and lighter options only cause of 1. the build quality in the pictures itself looked strong, and i wasn't disappointed, it is strong. 2. i wanted an arm that can hold heavier weights in case i decide to upgrade my monitor later 3. Although least of my concerns, it looks good. Assembly was easy and luckily, my table had ample place at the back for the clamp to sit.The only Issue i've had to face was the joint on the arm where the vesa sits was very hard to rotate and move around when i initially set it up. I had to disassemble the whole lot, add a few drops of oil at the joints and now all is well. So you might wanna consider a few drops of oil before you setup.
