Great haltie and leash
I love this halting and leash. It was a great price for both of them together. I have a Golden and if he wants to go after something he could, before this came I to his life. He was used to a harness but he could still pull away if he wanted. Getting him used to this was not hard. He just accepted it. I figured for the summer this would be cooler on walks. He still picks up sticks and carries them home and sometimes holds the lead in his mouth to walk himself.

BUY IT.
HALTI headcollars are the best. I’ve bought several for multiple dogs. I needed a smaller size for my current Cane Corso, so I recently got the size 4. Photo is size 4 compared to the size 5 which is about six years old and was used regularly on my first Cane Corso. Both my dogs had/have shorter molosser muzzles, and could eventually push the nose band off if not monitored (ie laying down at an outdoor table while we eat, they are never left alone wearing these) but during active walks these are a lifesaver for being able to redirect or stop pulling. The newer version seems to have a thicker more reinforced buckle which is nice because at one point I had a third one that my first Cane Corso bit the buckle while trying to play in the car and broke it off my Pit Mix.Comparing the HALTI to the Gentle Leader, all three of my dogs preferred the HALTI and responded but better to the HALTI than the GL. The HALTI has soft padding and because it has a martingale style strap on the under chin, they were much more comfortable with this. This helps teach them that it only tightens when they pull, and if they’re loose leash they have more freedom and the fit is looser. The GL unfortunately doesn’t have as comfortable padding and you have to tighten and clip the chin strap which holds a steady pressure and rubs their hair. I also had issues with the GL pinching the jowls of my dogs, even the Pit mix, who had a longer slimmer retriever/GSD snout.

Rowdy Rottweiler turned into Respectful Rottweiler 🤣
My dog took a full 180 in his first walk!My dog is about 105 pounds, he’s a Rottweiler mix. He normally pulls really bad, despite training. This has made our walks a million times more enjoyable, and he is so much better with leash manners. Great quality, accurate fit!

Fits my dog better than a gentle lead.
I liked how this fits my dog. She still isn't much of a fan of having something on her nose, but I like how it fits her. She is easier to control. I even had the leash wrapped around me for hands free and she didn't pull, as long as I kept jogging. I like having options on length of the lead. I would highly recommend this over the petsafe gentle leader.

To correct canine pulling at leash.
I work with my German shepherd and leash pulling is her bad habit. She is only 2 so still a bit immature.I bought this because my GSD community couldn't stop praising it. It does help but please, just like the reins of a horse. Yanking and tugging DO NOT HELP it only makes matters worse. Use gentle guidance. Just relax and eventually your furry companion will too. Think that when you are holding the leash it is made of dry twigs, if you use a heavy hand you'll mess up your dog and make walking your dog as big a chore as it was before the device. Also, you could severely injure your dogs neck by yanking or pulling. Worst case scenario, simply stop walking. If you aren't moving forward, your dog isn't likely to do so. Walkies are supposed to be enjoyable for you and your dog both. This item is well built. An added bonus to the head harness is an added strip of reflective material. It gets bright when only a little light hits it. Sewing looks good, release is a little too stiff but that will change with use. I love both the principle behind this idea and love the construction. However, it got rated 3 stars because instead of instructions, you get a YouTube video. I shouldn't have to do that. I like instructions, I can read, can't type but hey, I'm retired. Sod that nonsense.C'mon, y'all can afford offset photographic printing for advertising your products but can't even insert a letter size instruction sheet ? That cost ya this time

Works like a charm
The media could not be loaded. This works a lot better than a gentle leader (for my pup). I guess it’s a lot more comfortable than a gentle leader too, as my pup accepted this halti and walks perfectly on it where as the leader he kept trying to paw off his face. It’s very easy to set up, some people were saying theres didn’t come with instructions and I frankly can’t remember if mine came with some but I didn’t need it. It’s very easy to understand how it works. My pup is an in training service dog and he does have a habit of slight pulling and this did help a lot. I wouldn’t recommend for very aggressive pullers as it might hurt their neck but if your pup needs correction every now and then, I think this would be perfect! Durability wise I think it’s just fine. It’s not fraying at the seams but of course it’d break if you let your pup chew on it but I think it’s very sturdy on its own.

Very gentle on your dog
Love the ease this item has for helping train my service dog! He loves to pull (he's only a year old) as he has a LOT of puppy left in him 😊 However, when he has his halti on, jes much calmer & less likely to pull. Best description I can think of is to think how a bridle works on a horse. Control the head & w gentle pressure everything else follows. Absolutely LOVE this product because I now don't worry about him pulling so hard as to hurt himself.

My favorite Big Dog training lead! (Good for puppies, too!)
This was a great deal on the combo lead and head halter. I use the head halter for training difficult (stubborn) adult boxers and it is an effective temporary tool. However, the Halti lead is the best nylon lead on the market, super versatile. Feels great in your hands, you can even walk 2 big dogs at once with this lead without buying a coupler. However, on that super wild child, it allows 2 points of securement...this is a great safety mechanism. For day to day use, I love the lead clipped to itself mid way as a large hand loop, allows for easy handling. And, even rescued a stray with it used as a slip collar. Outstanding quality. Plain black... simple. For a little flash, love the Lupine collars... but for the hard work of training tough dogs (or challenged owners), I love the Halti Lead!
