Hubbell 6500BR-5 15 Amp Rectangular Floor Box Kit, Metallic Cover Plate, Duplex, Brass

Installed this myself in a wood floor over a crawl space. The box and face plate are very sturdy, after install I am not worried about heavy foot traffic or damage from normal use. I am not crazy about the screw in plug covers, because during use it will be very easy to lose one, but when screwed in they are snug and flush with the face plate and won't work loose. This was a pricey box but worth it IMO since it appears tough and will stand up to abuse.

These were such a great addition to my home. I live in an older home that has outlets on the floor and the ones that came with it, weren't covered. Having young nieces and nephews around, I wanted a safer option. These are great! A bit pricey and may be difficult to lift, but overall lovely and functional.

Solid. Well built, doesn’t skimp on material. Clear instructions. Template (for cutting floor opening) is accurate. Installation is straightforward. Include receptacle is tamper-proof (required by National Electric Code, not just for new construction but any new or replacement outlets). Not cheap, but in the get-what-you-pay-for category. Very satisfied, would buy again, gladly recommend to others.

Typical nice and decent hubble product that works well and looks good on the floor.

This has a metal cover and mounts from the top directly on the floor. Instruction include a 1/1 template for cutting a hole in the floor. I only needed a portable jig saw to cut through a 1/2 inch hardwood and 3/4 inch sub floor. Because it mounts from the top it will not get loose when taking the plugs in and out. One negative is it does not come with wire feed and clamp. Had to buy 5 because HD does not sell one. Had to make a second trip, one hour, because i did not have a clamp laying around the house (first time in 60 years). When you get to 80 every hour is important and don't like spending it to get a part that should come with it.

Great price on amazon for this floor outlet. Jist as described. I opted to install a 20amp outlet instead of the 15amp that was included due to my wiring.
