I would agree with that a bit. It is not like the original, but it can be crammed in. I would probably order another one.

Q: Does it come with the carbon filter? The item description says so, and even includes a picture of it. But the actual description changes part #'s.

John G, It does have the filter cartridge on the lower front of the vacuum. The photo shown is replacement part # 303172001 in the owners manual. This is the HEPA filter. This one you cannot clean with water, whereas, the Cyclonic filter (also on pg 10 in owners manual) is part of the top assembly and can be removed and rinsed. I do this about once a month. The replacement part for this is #902404001. I hope this helped.

Q: Is this filter washable?

It's been 10 years since I bought it, but if I remember correctly, the filter (white portion) is made of paper and is not washable. But they are so cheap, you just replace it. Hope that helps.

I've got just the basic Windtunnel model and it fit but not completely correctly. I had to use duck tape to seal it tightly. But it still fit better than the one I bought from Home Depot.
