Did not get the pestle

Beautiful craftsmanship! Flat inside (_)not rounded ( )so cleaning wet ingredients needs extra attention. Pestle is flat cut [ ] as well, but does a good enough job for chunky herbs and garlic.

With this item being made of wood, it's always going to be a little more difficult to ensure that it's totally clean! It definitely got the job done that I was trying to achieve though! It is very sturdy. I crushed clothes and candy canes (not together) with no problem.

I brought this to crush some herbs for a tea. The Mortar and pestle set arrived next day which was the main reason I picked this one because I wanted it fast. Its a nice size and very sturdy, but the pestle was deeply splintered. I would have returned but I needed it and I used it so I guess I'm only getting a few uses out of this purchase. :(

Though I can't "swallow" the whole mortar and pestle but it's the best garlic crusher ever. It's light duty and small. 2 cups max.

This product is sturdy, easy to clean, and useful. I wish they would have lift the wood raw. The poly product that is brushed on the wood doesn’t make me feel safe. And the poly is not brushed on very well.
