Great cake tool. I really only use it for cake decorating and this changed the game for me (along with swiss merengue buttercream....) Perfect for very straight edges and large enough to frost a double layer 8 inch cake with lots of extra room

After reading some of the reviews, I went ahead and ordered it any way. Some said it was too thin and flimsy. I found exactly the opposite, it was easy to work with. I did a 6" 4 layer cake and used the scraper to smooth the icing and it worked very well. I do cakes for a living so I am extremely picky about my tool. This one is a winner in my book, I would recommend this tool to any one looking for a good quality scraper for higher profile cakes.

It is of good quality material but I feel as if the edge feels smoother on one side than the other so in other words as it it has a back and a front if that makes sense. It’s still works well specially when you use it warm. The sides are so shiny you can see your reflection on it. It’s lighter than my short and long scrapers and in between in therms of length compared to my 12” and my 6”bench scraper.

I create cake for a living, so I am very particular on the tools I choose to use. I really like how smooth this makes my cakes, it's evenly smooth! The size in length of it allows me to base 3, 4, or 5 tier cakes easily. I've had problems in the past with different tools not being tall enough.*Pro tip run under hot water before smoothing will heat it up and create a precise crisp smooth cake!
