Light Grey Uber Goop Dishwasher Rack Paint & Glue (Bottle only)

This was easy to use. Provided very thorough instructions which I followed and it turned an old looking dishwasher rack into a “like new” rack. It stayed right where I put it and dried quickly. Stood up to many dishwashing cycles after application. Highly recommend. Good color match, too.

Worked great. Stopped my dishes from getting rust marks. Much cheaper than a new rack.

UPDATE 8/5/23. I need to purchase another bottle. My upper rack is rusting through again. Some areas are even worse. The Uber Goop is peeling off in some areas. Very frustrating. Not sure there is a better solution other than to buy a new dishwasher. New rack is $200.My less than 6 year old LG dishwasher had PVC that was peeling with rust forming in spots on the top rack. The bottom rack was fine, the damage was limited to the top rack. Certainly a design flaw with this dishwasher. (A new rack runs $100+). Rather than risk illness from rust on my dishes, I opted to try the Uber Goop. Uber Goop is liquid PVC. I peeled off any loose PVC and sanded the rust as best I could. This is difficult since you’re dealing with hard to reach spots. The Uber Goop dries very fast so you have to work fast. I used the entire bottle. I also wore latex gloves. As I applied the goop, I put my finger over the open bottle each time I took the brush out. Eventually, I just put the brush back immediately after applying the goop to a spot. I got to a point where the goop started to get gooie and started to glop around the bottle opening. I quickly cleaned the top of the bottle with a tooth pick and paper towel making sure to wipe the brush as well. That helped but like I said, you have to work very fast. My photo shows the end result. Cosmetically, it’s not great but I wasn’t going for beauty, I wanted to prolong the life of the rack and was concerned about health issues with the rust. I haven’t run the dishwasher yet. I’ll update after a few washes. Hopefully, Uber Goop will not peel off.

Dishwasher rust was completely ruining all of my white dishes. I was skeptical about how this would actually work and whether or not it would make my dishwasher look worse. The verdict: it’s super easy to apply and dries fast. Honestly, I can’t even tell it’s there, other than the fact that my dishwasher looks so much better and I’m no longer getting rust stains on my dishes. It’s not cheap, but considering the price of new dishes, this was well worth it.

Once you open it, it will dry out. So if you’re planning on using a little then saving the rest, forget it. Not worth the price. Look at hardware store for better options.

This thing was a great surprise to me. I didn’t thing it was going to work as good as it did.

Works well. Applies kinda like a thick nail polish and equally as stinky but dry to a tough rubber coat. A little darker than 2008 whirlpool grey rack but no complaints.
