Ogami Repap Stone Paper Hard Cover Notebook 6 x 8 (Black Lined)

I received an Ogami Repap notebook as a gift from my girlfriend and I've been in love ever since.I should first mention I'm left handed and love handwritten notes. This is important to note because I am very prone to smudging ink easily depending on the pen and paper, so my entire left hand will be left blue or black if I'm not careful!The Repap paper is made of stone and feels very smooth to the touch - at first feel, you feel a little awkward writing on it! But it holds ink beautifully and dries rather quickly. I use a Boker tactical pen as my everyday pen with waterproof ink cartridges. Writing in my Ogami notebook is extremely smooth, fast and feels great. The pages do not tear easily (which may be a con depending on what you use your notebooks for) but for me this is important since 99% of the time I lose pages it's not on purpose. The pages being waterproof is great too. I've spilled full waterbottles onto past notebooks which is usually a death sentence in terms of their usability, but with Ogami's notebooks I just let it sit for a while and voila: it's dry and the paper is ready to write on again. Would highly recommend.

Sadly it was slightly damaged in shipping. But I believe thats Amazons fault while they packaged it. It feels amazing, and is very durable. This may be my favorite notebook, however it has some flaws that aren't described at all.It has issues absorbing ink leading to smearing and ink transfer to the opposite page backside. You need to find a ink that works with it. My fountain pen was of course a complete failure. My Gel pen...was OK, but not great. My frixxion pen(heat erasable) on the other hand seems to do OK. Still some transfer and some slight smearing. So why 4 stars then? Because it really is some nice feeling paper. I do not regret this purchase at all. Still wish it hadn't gotten damaged by Amazon, but its not worth the effort to replace, I will use as-is.

I absolutely love my book . The paper is so smooth to write on ... you can't really use the back after writing on one side but that doesn't bother me because I put pictures or something to fill the space on one side and write on the other. Wish I had more options to buy because they are a bit pricey!

Love this note book. Make sure your pen dries before shutting it or touching the page as it will smear.

If you are new to Stone Paper, this is what it is. Its wide rulled so its more for people who like to write big or take random notes. This wins for the price and it is really durable so I use it as a traveling journal (which tend to get beat up)

Silky smooth stone paper creates an incredible writing experience. This is at least my fifth Ogami journal and I absolutely love writing in this journal. I like the binding, but would love to see more options
