Excellent reference I'll return to
Excellent reference I'll return to, personally and professionally, many times. I'm so glad that Dr. Sarkis has written about ways to minimize or manage one's ADHD in natural ways. I'm not against medication. I do always ask what we could do first, in a natural sense, before we run right for medication. And what may or may not work for one of my clients with ADHD.Even if you do not have an ADHD diagnosis, this is a useful book, filled with strategies to help you work out ways, small ways sometimes, to change habits that contribute to your "ADHD-like" symptoms.Really, what is there to lose here by taking on even a few of these strategies. Very practically written with clear, direct language. And it's in small bits and bites of information, so it's easy to read when all you have available is a sliver of a minute ! Backed by research and science -- or she debunks myths where there is none. I've heard Dr. Sarkis speak at CHADD and what you see is what you get - the straight up truth about all of this.

Much needed resource!
I highly recommend this book. It's quick and easy to read and full of great information about numerous alternative treatment options for Adult ADD / ADHD. Dr. Sarkis covers the many different treatment options tells you which ones work and which ones don't work. She supports this with research and data too. There are so many people out there claiming to have cures for ADD / ADHD. Anybody can tell you their cure works and will try and sell it to you. Before you put your time, energy and money into any of these cures, please read Natural Relief for Adult ADHD: Complementary Strategies for Increasing Focus, Attention, and Motivation With or Without Medication. There's finally a resource out there telling you what works and what doesn't work!

A Must Read for ADHD
Excellent resource, written by a doctor that has spent her career studying ADHD. We were able to give this to our oldest son, whose doctor wasn’t working with him on finding the right medication. He was able to inform the doctor via this book and learned to advocate for himself in the process. I can’t say enough good things about it. A must read for anyone who has family or are ADHD themselves.

Extremely helpful for adults with ADHD who want to improve their quality of life
Natural Relief for Adult ADHD: Complementary Strategies for Increasing Focus, Attention, and Motivation With or Without Medication I think the title of this book is a bit misleading because it's not the typical crunchy natural relief you'd think of. Most of the tips are user-friendly ideas on how to make it through the day. I feel like I learned a lot about myself - there were some things I do that I didn't realize are ADHD typical. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 4 and I've been taking medication to control it since then - almost 20 years. I'm still taking medication, but now I'm managing my relationships better, preforming tasks are work with higher quality, and paying more attention at meetings (ha!). This book was really well-written for the ADHD mind; topics are short, sweet, and to the point.

Adult ADHD is real; this book is fantastic!
As someone who was diagnosed with adult ADHD in my 50’s, I realized my struggles were not because I was lazy or didn’t care. Medication changed my life, but as I get older I’m looking for alternative ways to manage my symptoms. Stephanie’s book offered new natural techniques to manage my ADHD; I’ve been able to reduce the dosage of 2 different medications!

Basic intro to ADHD, does not offer natural remedies with food or suppliments
This book is a very basic introduction to ADHD. It does not offer as much wisdom as other books about the subject. The only supplement it says to take is Omega 3. It really doesnt not offer what the title suggests.
