Q: can it be used as a timber summer house base

I should have thought that might be somewhat heavy for the grids. They have been fine for a path and shed for me, but if the underlying ground subsides they will not necessarily prevent such subsidence in such a way that a concrete base might. You would be sensible to prop the summerhouse to create an airgap also as the gravel will retain damp to a greater extent than a concrete base, but if you were to compact the underlying substrate using MOT and lay the base over that, then this would be a more viable solution than laying simply over weed prevention fabric on top of soil and then adding grave. I hope this helps.

Not really, they are about 5cm depth

48. Please note they are very sturdy and high quality as well as being really easy to fix, once you've got a flat underbase.

Yes. As long as you have enough grids. A rough calculation sits 29x10 at 87square metres. These grids will work as driveway stabiliser, shed base, greenhouse base or even just to stop gravel on walking areas being kicked all over the parts they shouldn’t be on.
