The Platinum 36" Compound Tube is used for applying joint compound to internal corners, external corners, and flats with the use of an applicator head. (sold separately) Compound tubes fill like a giant syringe. Simply place the ball end of the tube into the bucket of joint compound and pull the handle. The 36" is an excellent choice for getting into tight areas. These tubes are very well built and ready to start making you much more productive with your next drywall finishing job. Review: Works! - It works great. After a year of sitting unused, I needed it again and it was pretty locked up. I soaked it in warm water for a bit, and it was able to move again. I took the end cap off, and took the plunger out, mud worked its way to the other side of the pusher, once cleaned it was good to go again. Works!

Works well

One major flaw
The tube is nice, well made and works very good. The big flaw is it should have quick release clamps to open up to clean. every time you're finished using it you must take out the three small screws pull the head off clean it put the head back on and install the three small screws again. A big pain, but it is cheaper than the ones with the clamps.
