I tried this coffee in Paris and loved it. I am so happy it was easy to find in the US.

Describing smell and taste of this coffee on-line is useless. Order it. When you'll receive it, open and compare with any fancy coffee you might have at your house. Any other coffee will smell like trash next to Carte Noire. Smell and taste are just amazing. Was happy to find this coffee on Amazon. Buy it! It worth it!

I have been addicted to this coffee for years. My dad went to France and brought back this coffee at least a decade ago. I have been trying to stop drinking it ever since...it's too good. Not much more to say about it other than, yum, and I'm grateful I can purchase it online.

I had been drinking decaf coffee occasionally for years because regular coffee made me extremely jittery and would sometimes give me a stomachache. During a trip to Paris last year, I drank regular coffee with my hotel breakfast every morning without getting that jittery feeling and the flavor was far superior to anything I had ever tasted. After returning home, I missed it - I should have asked the hotel what brand they used and purchased it there! I found this online and I decided to try it. It's excellent! The flavor is rich, not bitter at all, and, while I do notice feeling a very little "lift" after I drink it, I don't get that jittery feeling and don't get stomachaches. One caveat - it comes as a pack of 2 and the vacuum seal of one pack had been compromised. I opened that one first and did not notice any degradation in quality. Granted, I do not really qualify as a coffee afficionado. I just know what I like. :)

I have purchased this before, but this time the coffee was stale and I am not able to return it…the coffee aroma is gone and the coffee has a sour taste -Obviously the product was not properly stored since the date to use the product is January 2025 - buyer beware of this vender the coffee is no good!!! And Stale tasting coffee is the worst when you have had the same item fresh!!!!

I love the aroma and flavor of the Carte Noire coffee and used to frequently order it. Unfortunately, it has become extremely expensive to the point that I won't purchase it any longer and replaced it with another brand.

I first tried this product when a friend gave me part of a bag when she was leaving town. I was amazed by how good it was. There is no bitterness -- just a robust coffee taste. When I found it on the Amazon site, I ordered two 2 pack combos. I keep it in the freezer between uses. It's fairly expensive, but worth it.

Back in Europe it was the only coffee I was drinking. Here in US I prefer to get green coffee beans and roast them by myself. But, I ordered couple of this and tried them. Same taste, same great quality as it was in Europe. It is a little bit pricier here, because it is imported, I believe. But, if you want to enjoy a really good product, you definitely have to try this one. Here is a secret of how to get all taste and aroma from this coffee. Do not use any coffee machine, try french press instead. Also, try to use Turkish pot, but, best of all - simply put couple teaspoon of this coffee into your cup and pour near boiling water. Let it stand for five minutes and enjoy :) Also, don't put any sweeteners or milk, try to use condensed milk. Good luck!
