Works well
It works very well. It's slightly difficult even for the adults who visit to open my doors. You definitely can't open the door in a hurry, and they're hard to remove once placed on the door knob, which is a little annoying but kind of the whole point of having them. My toddler is extremely smart and can unlock and open doors on his own, but he can't get through any doors with these in place.

Perfect for toddlers!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Easy for adults very hard for children which is the goal! With this the fear of your child wondering where you cant see them is gone whether it be in a different room or outside which I’m sure would scare any toddler parent! And you the price you pay once is great you won’t ever need to re-buy these covers.

Easy install, works as expected
My 2 year old is very adventurous and tries to open every door in the house. These things work perfectly for that and now we can keep her contained without running out the front door or getting into everything!

Great for elderly snooping in-laws AND Toddlers!
I purchased these door knob covers to install on early 1900's Sargent Door knobs (older mortise style door-knob & locks). These door knobs are commonly found in New England on early 1900's houses. My door knobs measure 2-1/4" outside-diameter, and 1-1/4 thick. These are the "updated design" Safety-1st knob-covers (vs the older version from about 2016). This "newer design" version will work on the 1900's Sargent door knobs without modification (unlike the "older design").I've tried the "Jool Baby Products" knob covers and the "Dreambaby" knob covers, but neither of them will fit on the larger diameter Sargent 1900's door knobs, but the "updated-design" Safety 1st knob covers do work.Installation is fairly easy, but remove is more difficult. I usually need a flat-blade screwdriver to remove them, which is probably a good thing (since my 6 year-old son can remove some of the other types of door knob covers without tools). My 4-year old son isn't able to get past these knobs (yet). when installed on the 1900's Sargent knobs, due to the small grip area on the 1900's knobs. Also my 65+ year-old mother-in-law can't open them either, but my wife and I don't have any issues with them.

Worth it!
This product is an absolute lifesaver for parents! We installed them on our front door, garage door, and back door, specifically to keep our curious 2-year-old from venturing outside unsupervised. It has truly been a game-changer for our peace of mind. I no longer worry about her easily opening exterior doors and making her way out

Very hard to open, which is the point!
I put this on our nursery doors and had a few complaints as to the difficulty of using them. Since that is the point, I believe they do exactly what they should do. They are tricky to open and probably better to stick your finger through the holes while turning the knob to open the door. I would say these are good for up to 3-4 years old. I was able to show 5 year olds how to open the door. All in All I think this is the perfect device for keeping young hands from opening doors.

Difficult to put on, difficult to use, had to use cutters to remove them.
But, they are childproof.I don't know how you would use these if you have arthritis. You don't squeeze the device, you put your thumb and finger through the holes in the device and squeeze the doorknob. Impossible to use if your hands are the least bit wet.In all fairness, it seems like all of these devices from other manufacturers operate the same way.Years ago they used to sell door knob baby proofing devices that were like a flange that fit over the knob and you did squeeze the flange.
