It definitely could work for a wedding. It all about how you decorate it.

Q: Can you remove the lights?

you cannot remove and put back in, could try to hide at bottom and not turn on. Also they do not come pre wrapped and must say could not get it to look that good as advertised was very hard to get lights to stay in a position.

Q: Does this have to be plugged in to work

Don‘t worry. Rose light is battery powered and only needs to be turned on to work.Thanks for your questions.
