a normal person would give it 5 stars, but I honestly can't say I love an inanimate object, that's just me, it is thick so keep that in mind, after reading all the reviews let me say, number one, it does not smell, two, nothing was ripped, dinged or damaged. yes the lines do no go all the way to the edge, but I've never colored in the lines any way so it doesn't matter. yes i would buy this again, and yes i paid for it and am not getting anything for free.there is no little back pocket for receipts and stuff, wish there was, and a fountain pen doesn't bleed through but it show enough i would only use a real pen and not a gel pen either.

I know this was meant to be a standard writing journal but as an artistic journaler who uses various papers, pens, brushes etc. I always sacrifice one page of a new journal as a tester:So far I've used… colored pencils, gelatos, brush pens, felt tip (fine), gel pens, broad, medium, fine ball point and fountain pen> fine, medium and broad….All took to the paper very well no bleed through with some shadowing on opposite page using dark colors….Fountain pen /medium broad nib /wet black ink was the biggest offender but a medium to fine nib was perfect. Gel, ball point and especially colored pencils 'love' the tooth on this paper. A light touch and even watercolor brush pens can work nicely…(The tip: use light pressure... heavy pressure, too wet or multiple crossovers did show through to varying degrees)Even though this journal was not meant for "artistic use," all in all it did very nicely in that application. I especially like the sewn binding,finished edges and lay flat pages…Good price for this size and quality..I bought two.

Nice journal. Lots of high quality thick pages. Bound well. The only thing I did not love was the color. It was described as "navy blue" but it definitely is more of a purple blue or a dark periwinkle. It would be perfect in dark brown or black. I know color seems like a small thing but it was for a business man and color matters. We will just use it at home and use a black one for business purposes. A true navy blue would have been acceptable for business purposes. If color is not an issue then I highly recommend this journal.

I bought this journal for a few reasons. For a while now I wanted to start journaling every day and thought that if I bought a nice notebook, it would motivate me to finally start. I chose the Treasure Notebook specifically for its thick paper because I've been trying to learn calligraphy and wanted to practice using a fountain pen without the ink bleeding through.I've been writing in my notebook for two days and so far I've been happy with it. The ink doesn't bleed, and even though I'm just using cheap, kind of watery ink, the letters stay crisp. For its size it isn't too heavy, which I like because as a student I'm carrying around a lot of other books with me throughout the day. The only thing I would change is based on personal preference; I think it looks better when the lines go all the way to the edge of the paper.

This is a great notebook! It is very stylish, my Assistant Principal is using to keep logs of everyone she speaks to including parent phone calls and conversations with the teachers and she loves it.I ordered another one like it and I must say the quality of this one is slightly better quality than the other not made from the same company.If you need something for note taking or anything that you would like to keep for an extended period of time this notebook is the one for you.

Beautiful, beautiful item! I was looking for something simple, with a leather look and a bookmark - this hit every nail on the head AND matched my price point. Smooth, thick pages too - I'm using a fine, ballpoint pen for reference. The only request I'd have is for more colors - I'd love to see it in red next time! Will keep purchasing when I run out should quality and price remain similar.

I can't believe how amazing this journal is. I've always been a fan of the traditional journals and this is one of the journals I've become a fan of. I hardly ever make reviews and for this journal it deserves more then 5 stars, it deserves 20 gold stars. I plan to write in this journal everyday. Not only is this Journal my favorite color. But the pages are just perfect in thickness and in size. You won't be sorry to buy this at all!!!!!

I love this journal. It is sturdy and has plenty of room. It is attractive and easy to write in. I wish the pages were unlined and numbered. It is affordable,
