This is a perfect fit for seedlings, and for keeping mushroom grows warm. Its a sturdy, well made, insulated product.

This is only the second seed mat I have purchased, I really like my original one as the power cord connected to the mat is very flat, this one seems to stick up further, hopefully in will not interfere with laying my seed containers on it.

These are awesome for my plants i sude. Especially in the winter months!

Simple - just plug it in - no temperature control to worry about. I tend to want to use what I have around the house for projects rather than buy special equipment. (Example: All year I save plastic drink cups from fast food runs instead of buying pots. Essentially, I’m cheap.) I’d been using a regular heating pad to start my seeds, but wondered if it was too warm. This is a simple and inexpensive plant heat pad - and it seems to be auto set at the correct warmth for germination. All but 5 of my 140 or so seeds germinated and now I have petunias and geraniums beginning to form buds. This was a good purchase.

This 10"x20.5" heating pad is just the perfect size for a Jiffy seed starter tray that contains 72 peat pellets. It heats the tray gently and provides a good temperature for starting seeds.With raddish seeds, using this heating pad with a Jiffy tray, the seeds germinated in about 3 days. I'm happy with the results.The pad appears well made from tough vinyl and it appears the pad is well sealed around the point where the cord enters it. The cord itself is thick and high quality for such a low power device.Bottom line, if you need a heating pad for your starts, this is a high quality unit for relatively little money that will work nicely.

Working as it should so far and great price. I hope it lasts but it is doing it’s job. So I would say try it out.Only negative is it has no temperature control. One temp only. So I just watch seedlings carefully to avoid drying out. But it works.

Good for price point. There is a hot spot in the corner where the plug meets the mat. As far as I can see you cannot control the temperature and it’s a manual on and off by unplugging. I haven’t used it to start seedlings, just to heat up the space that I keep my tropical plants.
