I looked back at my earlier purchases and it seems we have bought four of these over the years, for use on two toilets. The first was bought in May 2014 and replaced in September 2018, and the second was bought in April 2017 and replaced (with this order) in November 2022, giving a rough life of between four and five years. I have no idea if this is what should be expected from a toilet seat but at the price I am not complaiing. In fact, the price is about £4 lower than the last time I bought one and represents good value in my opinion.On the plus side, they look good (not sure if any toilet seat would win a beauty competition) and are reasonably easy to install. I find I need to tighten the bolts every year or so. Sturdiness is acceptable, although our reason for replacing them was because they broke - in different places if I recall correctly. I believe in one case the actual seat cracked and on this other occasion it was a combination of the bolt/hinge mechanism breaking and one of the plastic 'cushions' perishing. At the price, I'm not complaining.One negative observation is that you have to be very careful not to get any toilet disinfectant/bleach on them as they stain very easily - and it's impossible to get rid of the mark. This is particularly noticeable with the blue Harpic (I think) liquid.Overall, though, these look good, are comfortable, and last quite well, so I recommend them.

Easy to fit promt service good quality

Super fast delivery, Ordered this yesterday late in the day, arrived today late morning. Quality far above expectations for the price, flat head fitting screws help tighten down seat from above. Only downside is that it is not soft closing, but definitely looks like a long lasting toilet seat. Very pleased with this purchase

Very happy with this loo seat! It was so hard to find an extra long oval seat in grey that had non chrome/metal fixings with good reviews but this is one. The seat is a nice quality, not a thin plasticky cheap material. The colour is a very light grey with Staytite plastic fixings that says keeps the seat firmly in place. And they do! So far so good, not moved a bit. I've read reviews that the paint colour comes off when you clean or handle too much but only had fitted yesterday so i'll see if i can update on that point at a later date. I'm only going to be using Zoflora disinfectant wipes on it so we will see. So far i'm very happy with it.

This is not the cheapest seat around. Its is easy to fit and it is very sturdy and it is easy to clean. Where it falls down is the material covering the seat, despite taking great care to only clean the seat with gently cleaning agents an area of the surface material has worn away displaying the darker material below, this may be due to "male" "accidents" but but still unacceptableand therefore not suitable for the purpose it was purchased for. This is the third seat of this type I have purchased, all different brands, but I suspect all made by the same manufacture. All 3 seats have exhibited the same problem. I purchased this type of seat for its easy of installation but now I am faced with a worn seat for the 3rd time. I will not be purchasing this type of seat again. Our previous wooden seat lasted for many many years and if needed could be given a fresh coat of varnish or lacquer.

The media could not be loaded.  Easy to install. Quick delivery. Did basic instal by hand. Can tighten up later with tools, but so far, very easy. Looks smart.Only thing I’d say is that it doesn’t feel like real wood. We had a Heritage Oak seat before, but I’m hoping this engineered wood will be more robust. Will update if we have any issues over time. Right now I’m pretty happy with a working loo in < 5mins, pre Christmas by a DIY novice.
