Premium Bark Collar - Static Shock No Bark Collar with Adjustable Sensitivity for Large, Medium, and Small Breed Dogs

This thing is horrible. can see from the battery area in and it started working. After 4 warning beeps it would shock. Then we put it on the dog. The problem is that it would go off from almost nothing even on the lowest setting. Ok, so one beep because his foot hit the cage but he settled down so it didn't beep again. Another beep when he jumped on his potty pad. What made me take this thing off of him is that when I put his normal collar and leash on he shook his head and it beeped, he shook his head again and it beeped again.. he shook his head a third time and it zapped him. Its not supposed to zap at three times and it should zap just because he shook his head. Then I took it off him and I shook it and nothing happened. I tapped it against the coffee table and it still didn't go off. This thing is not useful.

I was hesitant about buying this bark collar because I had bought one from a pet store for a previous dog and it didn't work. This one works great! Our dog barks at any sound or movement and heaven help us if someone rings the doorbell! He even barks at me when I get up from my chair in the family room! Even more annoying is that he's the most "verbal" dog I have ever met. Even if there's nothing to bark about he's making "gruffing" sounds and small "grrrrrs." He's fluffy so we took him to the groomers to have him trimmed and put on the collar. It only took two days before his constant verbalizing stopped and while it didn't totally stop the barking at the doorbell, it has decreased the loudness and duration. After just a few weeks, he doesn't need to wear it most of the time. If/when he starts up again we quickly put it back on to give him some reinforcement. I recommend it to anyone with a barking, growling dog.

I have a Mastador pup. He did not bark much for his first nine months. Then...boyhood kicked in, with barking. He is indoor dog, so I needed to curb the barking. Had high hopes for this collar pick. I based my decision on more of the positive reviews...but should have believed more of the negative ones. This is basically useless...or if you would prefer... worthless/junk. The battery it shipped with lasted almost no time. The housing is very lightweight... plastic. Not durable. But main issue, and this was a BIG one...it shocked him over and over...for no reason. Movement, minor winning, even loud noises around him...set it off. It was so bad that he worked hard to remove it. This was my first time with a "no bark" collar. I may try a different one to compare, but this one needs to be skipped over. One last minor issue... Description states this purchase comes with a free how to e-book. It did not. Also...only fits the thickness of the collar it comes with...and the collar is poor quality. Thin, lightweight, easily snags, doesn't tighten well.

This is a good collar the web is nice and large and adjustable so it will fit small to larger dogs. It comes with two sets of contacts one set is short the other set longer for long haired dogs, this must contact the skin in order to work. Before it shocks it beeps so the dog will learn to stop barking when it beeps. I will use this mainly at night, my dog likes to stand at the edge of the fence and bark not sure what he is barking at and pretty sure he has no idea either, and it might be fun for him t stand and bark, but it is not fun for us at 2am. I was afraid this would hurt him so I set it to low and when he started to bark it beeped and then got him. I don't think it hurt him, since he didn't yelp just took a step to the side and started looking for wasp, they seem to love to sting him and he did not react to the collar as strongly as he will a wasp sting. Over all a few more nights and he will get the idea and stop barking. I gave this four stars the shock part just feels like it won't last long on my dog but he is pretty rough on collars living in the woods, he is always snagging them on something I received this product free during a promotional event .for my honest review, I also count on reviews to help make my purchase choice, and I rate the product on it's merits and those merits alone, not based on a discount or promotional even. I will not leave extra stars for a discount. Discounts and promotional events are easy to find online almost all my online shopping is done with a discount. received 2 bark collars in December, 2015. right away to the collars would not work right, they beep at everything but the bark of the dogs. closing the car door it beep, the dog shaking himself, it would beep, taking the collar off and laying it down on the counter, they beep. finally the dog was shaking himself and the beeping did not quit at all. took out the battery, waited a minute, put it back in and still beeped. amazon did refund the money. now 2 weeks later the second collar is bad! don't waste your money or time on this product!!!

The EpicPet Premium Bark Collar does what it's supposed to do: it provides a warning tone, followed by a mild shock if the dog keeps barking. The reason I only give it three stars is the device's sensitivity to gross movement. This collar, set to its minimum sensitivity level, activates when my dog shakes his head, when my dog runs up and down the stairs, and when my dog scratches his neck or ears. In my opinion, that level of sensitivity and the number of false positives it produces, reduces the effectiveness of the collar at training the dog not to bark. The collar should not activate because of gross movements, only because of barking impulses...anything else means the dog doesn't understand that he's not supposed to bark. Instead, he's spending his time worrying about when he might get "toned" or shocked for just being an active dog. The collar's instructions make reference to getting your dog checked for fleas if he shakes his head and sets off false positives, so the manufacturer is aware of the issue and hasn't corrected it. This one rates a "caveat emptor", I'm afraid...it does what it advertises, just be aware your mileage may vary.

HARMFUL!!! DO NOT BUY!!! This unit increases in intensity with each bark. Which sounds like a good concept, but the increases are too close together and there is no safety mechanism to stop the corrections if the dog is in pain. We set our collar on the lowest setting. Our dog barked. It gave him a tone which he did not understand. He barked. It shocked him. He yelped. It shocked him at the next higher setting. He yelped more. It raised intensity again, and so on until our Shih Tzu received continuous german shepherd sized jolts and was writhing on the ground in pain while we struggled to remove the collar. Do not buy this collar. It clearly is not designed for smaller dogs. Increases in intensity have little or no pause between. We have used bark collars before on our dogs and never had an experience like this one. I would give ZERO stars if I could. It has taken two days for our dog to even be willing to go back out into the backyard without the collar on. Horrible experience...

Ok received really fast! Put on my dog I have not heard a bark out of him.. He was barking all the time. We are on day two so far. But I hear it beep when he moves around a lot. So I'm not sure if it's shocking him or not.

Should be removed from the market didn't work and sadly company wants me to have it returned!
