Rubies Men's King Robe and Crown Set, One Size for Themed Parties and Halloween

I purchased this robe & crown set for my 11 year old for a play at school. It is made for adults and my son is 4'10" tall so the cape drug on the ground by a 1/2" or so. The crown is slightly big but we stuffed it with newspaper to keep the shape and it helped to balance it better. The quality is good: well stitched, true to the color, and the material is the same as any costume you would buy at a costume shop. Definitely worth the money!

For the money you can not ask for more! This was better quality thann what I expected and it fit well. If you're looking for a quick, easy, and affordable costume this will fit the bill. Some reviews have complained about the crown/hat, It's the same material as the gown and it worked well for us. Color is a rich red. Would buy again!

good for a poker king costume, i attached playing cards with a sewing machine. i like the feel of the red velvet and the plush white trim with polka dots. the hat stands tall and is nice and firm. I bought two and made a train for the poker queen costume out of the second robe. great deal!

Our office had a Halloween party and each Dept had a theme. Our Dept was Candyland and I was chosen to be King Candy. I searched for the real costume and it was over $100...too much for a 1 time party. Found this value costume and it worked perfectly. I'm 5-10" and 215 lbs and the cape fit perfectly! Came down to just below my knees. So if your shorter, you have room and if taller, still looks like a good cape. The "crown" was tight but still OK. I put some candy striped tights and colorful shirt and makeup and it turned out perfect. Would recommend for very casual use.

I bought this costume set after I ran out of time in making my own Halloween costume, and was really satisfied with the robe. The crown? Not so much. The robe is a one size fit all, and as 5'10 male with an average build, it fit and draped me perfectly. The crown had an unusually tight fit, though. Putting it on was an incredible feat of effort, so much that when I did manage to fit it on, I felt like my head couldn't get proper blood flow! I'll admit, I have a larger head size than most, but after my petite S/O tried it on her small head and complained it was also tight fitting, I was convinced that it wasn't just me. I guess if you can manage to wear the crown comfortably though, it does look decent, in a cheap way, and it stands perfectly though I would advise to stuff with newspaper or other filler.

I ordered this robe for a Halloween party. The theme was "Twisted Fairy Tale" and I went as the King of Hearts having nearly murdered my fiance who portrayed Alice (in Wonderland). This robe was comfortable and a good length (I am 6' tall). I did not use the crown, as the character I chose to portray did not wear that type of crown - so I cannot rate that portion. If you need a good robe and like the look of this one, you should get it. It is not too heavy, nor does it appear to be cheap and thin. I have attached a photo.

Got as a gag gift for my brothers birthday. Fit well and Crowne stayed on his head. Overall decent product.

My 10-yr-old son needed to be King George III for a school presentation. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so this was perfect! It touched the ground on him. The crown is soft and a bit "funny-looking," but we anticipated this from the other reviews. So, we also purchased an inexpensive "add-on" crown. It was perfect too since it was less than $2 and it was made of soft, flexible plastic. Reviews on other plastic crowns said they were stiff plastic and snapped when they tried to bend them to wear. The one we got was perfect. No problems. We also bought the "add-on" scepter for about $5. That worked great too! We can definitely use this ensemble for Halloween or another "royal" presentation.

Being used for a freddie mercury costume. Waaaaay cheaper than Spirit and it's pretty decent quality.

I like that the cape/robe is light, as I intend to wear it at a Caribbean resort's themed party. It's designed with shoulders, so it isn't just a sheet hanging off your neck. The "crown" was a bit snug on my head and the robe is a little short on me, but I'm tall with a big head. I think the crown is actually supposed to be worn with the top pushed down; it looks more like a traditional crown that way than in the seller's photos.

Cape is thin but nice. Hat is trash.
