Perfect pull cord to repair my fan!

My review here is based solely on the gleeful discovery that you can buy such a product at all, instead of having to throw away a perfectly good ceiling fan. I've been using it a couple years, turning the fan on and off about twenty times a year. Hope it outlasts me. If it does, I'll have my heirs edit this review more favorably.

Original fan switch only gave one speed. Now fan has three speeds. works great

The description was a little confusing, but this was exactly what my ceiling fan needed. The black wire connects to the power, the red connects to the light, and the blue connects to the fan speed controller. The first pull of the chain powers the red wire only which turns on the light, the second pull powers the blue wire only which turns on the fan, the third pull powers both the red and blue wires which turns on the light and the fan. The fourth pull turns everything off.

This switch saved my 30 year old Cassablanca ceiling fan. My son got the old pull chain wrapped around the blades and pulled it right out of the switch. Rather than replace the fan, which is made better than any new fan these days, I was able to take it apart, pull out the old switch and replace it two days later which this excellent replacement part from Amazon. It works like new!

Unfortunately My item broke within a couple of weeks and I was not able replace in time. I called and I was a few days past the warranty and they did not give me a replacement, they just basically said I can buy another one. My mistake, seems very cheaply made and not sure I would want another one as I am sure it would break quickly again.
