EAS Complete Protein Powder - Vanilla - 2 Lb

So here's what I like about this product - good quality, great price, nice packaging (thank God it's not another half-filled jug like other protein powders) and - as someone who has problems with milk products - I'm happy to say I suffered no ill side-effects. As for what I didn't like so much - the taste and the mixability. Like most proteins, the vanilla has an unnatural under-taste that while palatable is clearly there. I think the flavors for protein powders should be changed from vanilla and chocolate to yellow and brown. That way no one will have any unrealistic expectations about what their taste buds are in for. Finally, regarding ease of mixing, if you use a blender I suppose it's fine. I use a sport bottle and shake it up with water during my workout. It tends to clump and stick to the bottom of the bottle like something akin to protein-based superglue. Despite all that, I plan to continue using the product and recommend you give it a try.

I usually buy the 5lb EAS protein power, that is great. This is entirely the opposite. My normal routine for the 5lb version is to put in two scoops into the shaker bottle and shake for a minute then let it sit for about ten minutes so the air bubbles can go away. When I do that with this product, it still tastes awful. It does not mix entirely well, I may have to use a blender. Also after ten minutes if tastes like I just shook it up and the air does not go away. I regret this purchase and I will probably throw it away its that poorly tasting and doesn't mix well. It is easily the worst protein power I have ever used and that is saying a lot. It may work if I use a blender and come back in three hours to drink.

EAS and Muscle Milk are the two brands I use for protein powder. I prefer the taste of EAS but it is not always available. The vanilla flavor is really good mixed with plain greek yogurt and either a packet of dried flavored instant oatmeal (like sugar free brown sugar) or some flaky cereal like Wheaties. Depending on how much I have per day I find It takes about a week or two to go thru one of these 2 lb containers.

Great taste. This is always my go to protein shake mix, I have tried different ones before but I always keep coming back to this one. The new look and lid is great too. The scoop holder on the top of the lid is wonderful, it helps out a great deal so that you don't go around looking for it in the powder. The vanilla flavor is great, it tastes like vanilla and doesn't really leave any aftertaste. Morning, lunch or dinner it is a fast and easy way to replace my meal and keeps me full.

Very sad to hear that EAS is discontinuing this product. I had searched for a long time for a high-protein powder that could act as either a post-workout drink or a meal replacer, (that also tasted good!), before I found EAS Complete. I usually mix it with milk and it mixes very smoothly and easily even without a blender or shaker cup. And most importantly, it tastes great! (which is something I can't say for most whey powders). I also will mix a scoop in with oatmeal or a fruit smoothie for a little protein kick. My only criticism is that it doesn't come in a larger size, and apparently won't be coming in ANY size for much longer. I'll be buying as many of these as I can find/afford before they run out.

VERY GOOD PRODUCT. TASTES PLEASANT, BLENDS WELL IN MY BULLET. ONLY REASON I DIDN'T GIVE FIVE STARS, IS I DIDN'T READ LABEL WELL ENOUGH. IT CONTAINS MILK PRODUCT, AND I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH LACTOSE. GOOD AMOUNT OF PROTEIN. SO FOR MOST PEOPLE IT WOULD BE IDEAL AS MEAL REPLACEMENT.

By far my favorite protein powder. Loaded with vitamins low in calories and a great price. It's to scoops per one serving. So I like to just drink the two scoops separately. It tastes great! I have nothing negative to say about this amazing product.

This does provide adequate protein, but the taste of the vanilla is not really desirable. I was able to hide it with plenty of fruit and yogurt in a smoothie, but mixing it with water or milk on its own is just not happening. It is grainy and tastes off unless it is hidden with other textures and flavors.
