Learned a lot.

This is one of the best business books I have ever read and should be required reading in every business school. If you want to improve emotional intelligence and learn to deal with people better and more effectively, this is a great step in the right direction. Very highly recommended!

The information in this book is invaluable for your career and your personal life as it provides detailed information to successfully work with all social styles, even when they're in an upset condition.

I love this book. This book is great for sales. It really helps you to understand different types of people and how to interact with them. An agent I sold recommended me this after I was combative, he told me I could sell a lot more if i read this book and he was right !

I first became familiar with Larry Wilson's work back in the late 80's when I participated in the Counselor Selling workshop series. Social Styles laid a great foundation for my relationship building approach throughout my business career. It is refreshing to re-visit the sound principles of the Social Styles model as I prepare to launch my own Personal Growth/Educational Workshops. This system works.

Not much new here. It is one of those books that if the whole world read it and follow it things might change. But if one or two people adopt it not much good will come of it.

I first encountered Social Styles back in the 80s as part of a Wilson Learning course on Counsellor Selling. It was obvious that this was an excellent tool for improving communications not only with current or potential clients but also with the world in general. Unlike some other systems that can amount to covert manipulation of others, Social Styles is a description of communication style preferences that you can share openly with clients, family and friends. In my financial planning practice we would describe the system to clients at the first meeting and help them to identify their own style and how they like to be communicated with. I recently purchased this new edition of the book and found it even better than before. Buy it, read it, learn from it and then get copies for your clients!
