Tables Are Turned on a Prankster
Clever title of course will catch the eye of adults who know gets lucky means something else than it does in the book. Aye-Aye doesn't get laid of course, instead he likes to play tricks on humans who share his habitat, but they don't like this and chase him with clubs, brooms and things. They pass a law to ban him and embellish stories of what he did. There's a lot of text on each page, more so than the attention span of kids who typically read picture books. This is more for the level of those who read junior fiction. The story has Aye-Aye wetting himself and pooping on the ground when scared by a flying fox which is the sort of thing kids love. Of course the irony is lost on the prankster at first and he tells off the bat. The flying fox then tells him how he can win over superstitious frightened humans.Aye-Aye Gets Lucky has been has been formatted to be read in landscape mode (holding your device horizontally), where it takes up the entire screen. Words and pictures display together on the screen like a traditional picture book A lot of self published Kindle authors can't be bothered to format their work and it displays like a mess with bits of text on one page and an image on a small part of the screen on another, so I always like to take the time to point out when authors care about their reader's experience and their own work enough to take the time to format it.

children's
Aye-Aye (Lemur) loved to pull pranks on everyone. His creepy hand would scare the young/old alike. They would leave their people food for him to eat.The word spread among the villagers that he was bad luck.Aye-Aye hid from everyone.Suddenly there was a flying fox bat, it scared Aye-Aye.What advice did she give Aye-Aye?I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary) rhyming animal storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (different animals), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.Thank you for the free author(s); Fielding House Press Ltd.; BookSends; Amazon Digital Services LLC.; bookTony Parsons MSW (Washburn)

No basis in actual animal behavior
For a series that tries to focus on endangered animals and their natural history, this book can't help but jump the shark.1) flying foxes don't eat insects2)Aye-ayes are nocturnalThey authors should have figured out a better way to tell this story with a more factual plot line. On top of that, the rhymes are awful. Poorly thought out, making this book come across as a lame attempt to be part of a green movement.

Perfect for the whole family. I love books that I can enjoy too!
This book about the Aye-Aye is fabulous and I absolutely love the illustrations! My children were shocked when I said poop! It was a roit! We also looked up flying foxes after we were done reading. I wish this book had facts and ideas at the end of the book like Adventures of a Pangopup did, as it was an awesome transition to doing activities and more research. But there is a plethora of fun and informative activities on the site www.endangeredandmisunderstood.com

No quality control
Very disappointed to receive this book with the story pages upside down. I need to flip the book upside down to read it and then have to turn the pages from left to right instead of right to left. It's very awkward and I'm sure my grandson will have trouble trying to flip through the book. Only the last two pages are in the book the correct way and then there are a few blank white pages so I'm not sure if I'm missing anything. The pictures are lovely but I'm not drawn to reading the story with the book so mixed up.

Fantastic
This was a fantastic read. As a professional storyteller who is concerned about the environment, I am always searching for tellable tales to share with youngsters that are meaningful and still FUN. Aye Aye Gets Lucky is just that! - a teachable lesson on many levels that is, at times, laugh out loud funny. I can't wait to get it for my daughter's school, as well as the little ones on my Christmas list. Looking forward to the rest of the series!!!

Readers Get Lucky with Aye-Aye!
A beautiful and original story that introduces kids (and adults!) to the magical Aye-Aye. Sulima’s vibrant illustrations, paired with Tatchell’s rhythmic prose, remind us so wonderfully how great it is to be kind! I love the information provided at the end. A must-have on your bookshelf!
