An excellent entry-level spiralizer
I was inspired to get a spiralizer, and specifically this spiralizer, by Martha Rose Shulman's book "Spiralize this!". Inspired by that book, I got this spiralizer and also a Mueller Pro 4-blade crank spiralizer. With the Mueller, you turn a crank handle. With the Oxo you hold the veg in you hands and twist and push it into the spiralizer. The Oxo works like a Veg-ghetti (if you've ever tried one of those), but it does a better job, is easier to use, and is MUCH easier to clean. Compared to a crank spiralizer, the Oxo is a bit slow and tiring, but it works great for some vegs (especially softer vegs of odd shapes or sizes) where a crank spiralizer like the Mueller just won't work. So if you're into spiralizing things, it is good to have both types of spiralizer in your kitchen tool-kit. For an entry-level spiralizer (with the Mueller being the next step up), I give it high marks. It is inexpensive, compact, sturdy, and it is quick and easy to clean. And if you ever get a crank spiralizer, you will still want to keep it. It will still be the best tool for the job in some cases.

It’s convenient
I have a larger OXO spiralizer but it’s a pain to clean when you only need to spiralize one item so I bought this hand held version. It’s a bit of a workout to spiralize carrots but it works well for small quantities. NOT recommended if you have arthritis because it can be hard on the wrist. However, it does its job with some “elbow grease.”

Great quality products
I LOVE OXO products!!! So far every OXO product ive purchased has been excellent and even though they are a tiny bit pricy I dont mind spending an extra couple of dollars because when I tell you their products are awesome I mean it! And this new addition was not an exception.

Works very well, doesn't make long noodles very well
Works well for it's intended purpose. I don't make a lot of zoodles so wanted something simple and this seemed like it would fit the bill. The first try wasn't too great, but once I got the hang of it my zoodles came out wonderful. They do say the vegetables should be at least 1 1/2" largely because the yield of "noodles" will be very small if the diameter is any smaller. I recommend a scrub brush for cleaning the cutting heads -- it makes getting the bits of vegetable cuttings out of the teeth much easier. I have only used the spaghetti and fettuccin,e heads on zucchini, so I can't say how the other head works or how well it works on other vegetables. It cuts zucchini very easily. Update: I've had this device for a year now and have downgraded it to three stars because it is just too hard to get long noodles out of it. Zucchini come in whatever size the store has, but if you want to get long noodles out of this thing, you have to have larger ones. I usually end up with a few long strands and a bunch of one inch pieces. I don't use it a whole lot (and I knew I wouldn't which is why I picked a model that didn't take up too much space), but I think if it worked better I would be more motivated to do so. I've compared it to "cone" style manual slicers and I do think it is a safer design. The blades are very sharp, but the design and included food pusher keep your fingers away from them.

Compact and works.
I knew I wanted a spiralizer, but wasn't sure how often I would use it. We have narrow kitchen with very little counter space so I was worried that the countertop ones would be stored in cabinets and promptly forgotten. Because I've had good luck with other OXO products, I decided to go ahead and spend a little more on this handheld spiralizer than the other options. I do not regret that decision. Even with hand issues, I can use this (If I were frequently spiralizing more than one veggie at a time, I'd maybe consider the countertop version instead). I like that this has the three blades as it seems like different veggies do work a bit better when using the larger blade and others work better with the smaller blade, the ribbon option is just a bonus. Don't bother using the top gripping piece until your veggie is down low enough that it no longer feels safe to twist without it, it works much better that way. It also works best if cut the veggie pieces is a nice straight flat line. I tried to spiralize some bent pieces -- it kind of worked, but the noodles were breaking too easily. It's relatively easy to clean but I would recommend using a bottle brush, especially one that has a smaller attachment (the kind usually designed for cleaning nipples on baby bottles) as it's hard to get a regular brush in some of the little nooks and crannies.

It was a great little spiralizer that was inexpensive and very compact
I first discovered spiralizers when I was browsing the internet searching for some new recipes for a crop of zucchini and cucumbers from the garden last summer. I first got the OXO 1-blade Handheld spiralizer at BB&B. I don't have much storage space, so I didn't want a tabletop model. It was a great little spiralizer that was inexpensive and very compact. At that point I decided to order the 3-blade version through Amazon. I gave away the 1-blade version. The 3-blade version is also quite compact. These gadgets work well for small veggies. If you don't have much storage space, and don't spiralize often, these are a great choice, IMO. They seem to be quite well made for the price. The pieces snap together very easily, and they clean up very easily. I would recommend rinsing off the blades immediately after use. I put them in the dishwasher on the top rack, and they come through beautifully. After receiving the 3-blade spiralizer, I ended up buying the OXO tabletop Spiralizer. I decided I would really like to rice cauliflower from the garden this fall. I guess I should have just bought the tabletop spiralizer in the beginning! :) I have spiralized zucchini, carrots, onions, butternut squash, apples, & jicama using either the handheld spiralizer or the tabletop model.

We are glad we got the three blade kit. We needed a better spiralizer to help us with our keto diet menu and this one was demonstrated to us by a friend who only had the spaghetti blade. There are times when the stronger 'noodle' the linguini blade produces is desired. Plus the option of flat spirals is nice to have. The cutting edges are nice and sharp and work well on soft vegetables. We have not tried firm veggies yet. I will report back on that experience if it is not positive.
