excellent and consistent Filament
At first, I had a lot of trouble with adhesion with the Sunlu Filaments on my Ender 3 with the glass bed, and also in a Flashforge with the PEI bed, but they's print just fine on the blue surface in the Flashforge.A bit of research revealed that the coating on the glass bed, and the PEI need to be toasty hot to activate the stickiness, and they loosen when they cool. Also, I was using the included Flashforge calibration card. I remembered seeing something about using A4 paper to do this, so I grabbed the nearest piece of A4 and set up the Z axis with that. It happened to be one of those extra thin sheets the NHS send their doctors letters out on.Instant result. the build plate adhesion issue was solved and nothing even tries to curl at the edges now. I print on the glass bed at 75 degrees for the first layer and let it cool to 60 after that. this results in excellent adhesion and the cooler bed prevents upper layers from pulling the print up, while the initial temperature ensures the first layer has enough time to adhere before it cools. Also, be patient with thin flat prints, let the bed cool down completely with the print held in place before you loosen it, this will prevent warping. It's the same story with a PEI bed. At first I took the PEI bed out of the printer when down and set it aside to cool quickly. I actually heard the print crack and warp as it cooled too fast!So far, I've used 15 Different SUNLU filaments, Silk, PLA+ and PLA, all have been great and printed perfectly when using the recommended settings (and a nice tight Z clearance) strength is great on all, and no issues with bridging. The only jams I've experienced were on the horrible quality Flashforge, which got sent back, no issues yet with the Creality. The Silk colours are amazing, they all look fantastic on a decent printer. The Light gold actually looks like you're printing out gold bars!

Amazing filament
I changed to Sunlu after eSun changed to cardboard spools and I'm so glad I did, the quality of the prints are excellent and this new Silver silk PLA is amazing, the models look so good and smooth. I wish Sunlu made a few more Tri Colour filaments though.

A great Silk PLA filament
Being very much another make PLA addict with over 20 spools without issues and at a very good price point, I was sceptical to try another make, ie SUNLU.When I was told about SUNLU and how it was good, I thought why not and given that they were running a promotion I though why not...Given I had a few prints that would benefit from a silk finish I took the plunge along with some test printer prints which you can see attached.Printing at initial 210 deg cel and lowering to 190 and build plate at 70 deg cel reducing to 55 all prints adhered well and came out well without any blemishes which I would allocate to the filament. The purple is not as deep as I would like but it is still a great colour (and in fact many filaments do not match their actual colour) and the photos look more pink than purple, however in real life the prints are definitely purple and have a great sheen to them.Test wise, the filament is nice and flexible with no popping during extrusion and no stringing. Printing vase mode was excellent, as well as providing a great base layer. Width tolerance was great and this was the case along a test stretch of 5 meters which I pulled out.I include some photos for you to make your own decisions...Overall a great filament which I can recommend and I cannot wait to try more and in fact add it to my library of filament rolls!

Good value for money
Have printed about 1.5kg white and 0.5kg Copper so far. Great filament for the money, really strong value proposition no clogs or jams, consistent across three different printers. Good stuff! Some of the premium filament brands do slightly have the edge, but this is quite literally half the price and 90% of the quality. Will most likely explore more of the range and make the Sunlu PLA+ Silks my preferred range for silks.

Awful filament, high fail rate and one of the worst I have experienced
I have been flat out producing free PPE for local health workers and ran through all my stock of PLA, took a punt on this one as it was next day and I thought the colour would be more cheerful.I'm an experienced 3D printer and know what I am doing, bed levelling, upgraded extrusion and other tweaks, this filament has driven me crazy, jam after jam even with a new nozel and regular maintenance, adhesion has also been problematic, I eventually had to squish the 1st layer just to get it to adhere.Dialing it in was a challenge in itself, my usual PLA range of settings didn't apply including the flow rate.Settings I ended up with.Bed 70Temp 210Speed 50mms (10 less than other PLA)I also had to decrease the flow rate down by 5 (my extruder has been calibrated)I had partial success but a failure rate of over 50% scrap. The straw that broke the camels back was the tangling so had to change filament 3 times to correct it.Yes a bad workman blames his tool but all my other tools (other brand PLA) have performed far better and I can trust a print to start and finish it, this one had to be monitored frequently.I have had to abandon this nightmare filament after more than a days disruption and mostly scrap prints, I ended up using some Geetech Black PLA which printed perfectly right off the bat, though I only have 12 hours worth left so I am left in the lurch SUNLU is no FUNLU.
