Close but no cigar!!!
Good for the price. However I was hopeful they were a little closer to the old Pampered Chef unfortunately they aren’t. The knives look similar to the old Pampered Chef but these are not Pampered Chef by any means. They are somewhat sharp however they’re not Pampered Chef. They are a medium grade pairing knife and that means they’re are good for the price but not Pampered Chef!!!

could've been a great little knife
needed paring knife. thought these would fit the bill. have similar ones that were beginning to dull (bought from a local grocery store years ago) and decided it was time to replace. anyhow, these were very sharp and i was, initially, very pleased. however, after very little usage (perhaps a months worth), i noticed a discoloring along the handle. wasn't long afterwards while paring skin off a potato that the blade broke out of the plastic handle. luckily, i wasn't cut. as it turned out, the discoloring was the metal (blade) rusting inside the plastic handle! i continued to use the second knife (it comes in a set of 2) for about a month after that incident and then got nervous with it when i started to see the same discoloring in the handle. i threw the second one away BEFORE it had time to break on me. i sort of fancy my fingers.

Not real happy with this knife
The blade is a bit thin, best for cutting soft things rather than hard cheese, etc.

Knives are handy but they break
These knives are handy to open up plastic bags, unwrapping fresh meat, getting into small areas when carving a chicken, slicing cheese or cutting items that might harm an edge of your better cutlery. These knives were purchase to replace similar looking knives we had been using for many years, they looked the same, when they arrived they were identical in all aspects except one, they broke in the first two weeks of using them. For some reason the plastic handles are not as durable as our previous ones.

You get what you pay for
I got what I paid for... no one to blame but myself. They both broke with in about 6 months use. One while cutting an apple, the other slitting the plastic on a package of hot dogs.
