A very practical and reliable kit to monitor water quality
I bought this water test kit to check the quality of the drinking water in my home and I was surprised how easy it is to use. It includes many test strips (17 in 1) and also bacteriological tests, which gives a lot of peace of mind because it not only measures minerals, but also possible pollutants.

Super Easy Water Testing & Very Eye-Opening!
I grabbed this Varify 17-in-1 Water Test Kit just to double-check what was going on with my tap water, and honestly… I’m glad I did. The strips are super simple to read, and the color chart makes it easy to match up the results without feeling like you need a science degree. From my very first test strip (the one in my photo), I learned a lot and it didn't cost me a lot to learn this all which made it worth the money spent to buy this kit: pH was slightly high (mine looked around the upper end—close to the orangey-red section). Hardness was showing pretty high too—my strip lined up with the darker blue/purple range, meaning my water is definitely on the harder side. Chlorine looked really low (almost no color change), which was a relief. Nitrate & nitrite were basically at 0, which is exactly what you want. Iron looked low, same for copper—both landed in the lighter ranges. Fluoride was minimal, and sulfate looked moderate based on my strip color. Total alkalinity was on the higher side, which matches what I expected from my area. Everything was super quick—dip the strip, wait a minute, match the colors. The bacteria test is also easy, just takes longer (48 hours), but it’s nice having that extra peace of mind. I love that the kit comes with 100 strips and they're packaged in smaller sealed packs so they stay fresh. Plus, a portion of the sale goes to support access to clean water, which honestly makes me feel even better about buying it. If you want a fast, no-stress way to check your tap, well, or city water at home, this kit is definitely worth it. Clear, simple, and kind of satisfying to use. I’d recommend it!

Satisfied with results!
I tested the water from our refrigerator (filtered), kitchen sink (not filtered), and a sealed bottle of water (Crystal Geyser) each 3x to account for any variances. Before testing all three water sources. The bottled water had the best results with water hardness at the low end between 25-50 ppm. However, water from the kitchen sink and refrigerator were equally at the far-end (250ppm +). None of the tests showed unacceptable levels for the other indicators, with the exception being Alkalinity for both the fridge and sink (180ppm +), while bottled water was <40ppm. I wanted to test our water because my wife and I are looking at buying a water softener and whole house water filter, and needed an idea of the quality of our water supply. Overall, the strips are easy to use, and there's plenty of strips for future testing at a relatively low cost.

Super easy and gives peace of mind
I bought this water test kit just to check our tap water and I’m honestly impressed. It’s super easy to use, the instructions are clear, and you get results really fast. I like that it tests so many things at once, so you feel like you’re actually getting a full picture of your water quality. The strips are well labeled and the color chart is easy to read. For the price, you get a lot of tests and it definitely gives peace of mind knowing what’s in your water. I’d totally recommend this if you want a quick and simple way to test your water at home.

Know Your Water
The product works and very easy to use. I used the strips to test our water several times during different days to make sure it was accurate. The results were the same. I wished they would explain the meaning of each item tested for the water. Instead, I had to do research. The kit came with everything needed. Thank you!

Your child’s craft project would perform better
Save your money and have your children, friends children, or grandchildren make an art project. Cut tiny squares of colored construction paper, Elmer’s glue them to heavy weight white paper, and once those are dry, PRESTO! You have your test strips for free and it kept the kids busy for at least 20 minutes! We decided to test our water because we noticed our water has changed taste, then many people on our city’s Facebook page started discussing too, yet our city (30 min from Atlanta) claim it’s safe. The following photos show our debunking of Varify’s validity. We followed the instructions exactly, (2seconds dip directly in water source-not contaminated container, 30 seconds hold flat, view within 30-60 seconds). My hands dry at the end of testing from washing and sterilizing so much. Photo #1 tested under our tap. Notice the Nitrate is high. Obviously concerning Photo #2 tested filtered water out of newly cleaned refrigerator. Again notice the high nitrate Photo #3 tested new unopened target water bottle. Again, virtually the same outcome. The kit comes with test strips sealed into bags with about 20 strips each in them. Each test was done with a strip from a different bag proving it wasn’t just a bad bag. I am not a scientist, but I am educated enough to know there is no possible way for all 3 water sources to have the exact same mineral composition. Moral of the story in this case is you get what you pay for.

A Reliable Water-Testing Kit
I did some research on the best tap water test kits out there and this one came highly recommended. I was really worried about the chemicals in my tap water. I recently moved from a place that had water so hard, it corroded everything! I didn't dare drink it. In my new apartment, I noticed it wasn't as hard and didn't have the chemical smell my previous place did, but I was still concerned because I live in the same county as before. I drink a lot of water and I'm constantly buying it. The water coming from my new apartment's tap is really clear and there's no chemical smell. I cook and shower with it just fine - couldn't I drink it, too? I went to the county water board's website to do some research and while they've made some improvements, I wasn't satisfied. I wanted to know for myself what was coming out of my taps, so I checked out in-home testing and found a recommendation for Varify 17in1. It comes with everything you need to test your water; it gives you a ton of strips and the instructions are straight forward. It also comes with 2 separate tests for bacteria which freaked me out a little, but I was really happy they were included. I performed the tests and found no concerning additives, like chlorine, lead, mercury or fluoride. The only thing that jumped out was a high level of hardness and sulfates. I was really relieved and felt more confident in buying a water filtering pitcher, which would eliminate the need to constantly buy gallons of water. The bacterial test was separate and did not find any bacteria in my water, so I was definitely happy about that. I am very happy and relieved that I got this test kit, and I feel really good about the results. I totally recommend it!!
