Very cheap, breakable fittings on the back. Easily easily broken with normal use.
First of all, I was very excited to unpackage this product. I had bought it months ago, and it sat in my attic, waiting for me to get all the speakers out to wire it all up. I did so, and not one, but TWO of the speaker wire fittings (where you put the wire in -ie: Positive and Negative- at the back ) snapped. Really cheap materials. This was not under undue pressure. So, that made one of the six selectors useless. So, top marks for good looks on the front, but super cheap, easily breakable wire clips on the back. I see that other reviews mentioned this. FIX THIS guys!

This works exactly as intended. I am now able to control two different speaker zones in my basement. Have a lot of potential use for it once I move it to a different setup where sound and volume controls will need to be split up to four zones. Great buy!

Was perfect for my needs. I have a dual zone home theater receiver (Denon AVR-X1300W) and connected this speaker selector switch to the 2nd zone inputs. Then I had speakers from each room in the house connected to the 6 zones on the speaker selector switch. I used 14 gauge wire for all connections.This makes it easy to power all of the speakers from one receiver and to turn individual zones off and on. I haven't had any problems.

I'm an MIT engineer and bought this for my neighbor to be able to route his stereo to any or all of 6 rooms. I won't go into the technical reasons for this, but it is dangereous to hook up more than two pairs of speakers to an amplifier at the same time without one of these devices in between. This unit has the necessary protection circuitry to keep you from inadvertently blowing out your output transistors. It works great. And it's half the price you'd pay at Radio Shack. A great product.

I bought this to replace two older and less attractive switches that control the multi-room speaker system in my house. The older swtiches were hidden in a cabinet so they neve got used. This one sits out with the other equipment so it is used regularly. The impedance protection works well,
