NOT PLASTIC,,,,GOOD!
The OE part is plastic, this is not. It seems well made. Will be installing it shortly. If there is anything negative I will update this but so far it's a nice upgrade to the original. I bought it because I have had good luck with Doorman products. This is for my daughters car and I don't want to have to work on that thing again. Not a fan of VW new beetles.

Part is not as shown
Not the product shown in the picture which looks like the own part, the part arrived and was metal so I was excited, but the collar that the line goes into is metal and not shaped like the own part, no lock collar to keep the line from spinning for any reason and also the location for the clip does not lock into the line so it pops out when attempting to bleed, I have a very golf, mk4 2.0 if you have a vehicle with this engine and trans don’t waste the money, product does not fit

Hydraulic line safety issue
The unit itself functions correctly. The factory hydraulic clutch line appeared to snap into place correctly at first. On the first bleeding attempt when I pressed the clutch it blew out of the slave cylinder connection. I reseated it and used a flat blade screwdriver to press the c-clip ring into the locking grove on the line and safety wired it so it wouldn't spread open. That worked for a while until it blew out while I was driving this time! I managed to make it home and removed the hydraulic line connector from the OEM slave and installed it instead and that solved the problem. Conclusion: Even though the hydraulic line appeared to snap into the fitting the retaining c-clip will not seat all the way into the locking groove of the OEM line.
