What The Heck!
This bell is loud, and I mean LOUD!!! Don't ding this Ding Dong Bell riding by a grave yard whatever you do. The resurrection will be a tad earlier than expected. Not only is it very loud, but it takes up a large amount of real estate on my handlebars. I thought Americans like things BIG, but the Dutch must like things BIGGER. Good grief! I thought it was going to be smaller and not so loud. There are a lot of older people around where I live that, for whatever reason, like to walk in bike lanes. This dang ding dong bell is going to give one of them a heart attack for sure.

Good seller; OK quality bell
It's OK for the price. It goes "dink-dong" instead of ding-dong. (Maybe I should've opted to spend more on the German/Dutch bell?) Still, much better than the simple "ding" of most bells, and MUCH more class than the kiddie-style "brrring-brrring." The seller was great.

Awesome Ding Dong Bell! (Dutch Designed)
I am not really a bike enthusiast, I don't wear the fancy gear, or have the goofy front bull horn handlebars. All my life, I've had normal mountain bikes, and my most recent bike, is a Trek cargo transport bike. If you've ever been a bicyclist, then you know how important it is, to get pedestrian's attention. If they don't know your coming up behind them, you could easily hit them, and either them, you, or both, can get hurt.I have one of those ring a ding bells on my bike, and I hate it. It isn't loud enough, and pedestrians don't hear it, until I am right up on them. As recent as of last summer however, I purchased one of those little scooters. These are known as motorized foot scooters, and thus their not street legal for the roads, so you can only ride them in places like sidewalks, bike lanes, local neighborhoods, and offroad trails.Because my scooter is electric however, pedestrians can't hear me coming up on them, same issue you would have with a bicycle. So I got this bell after watching video's on DING DONG bells, so I knew that I would like it. These bells are large, like 2.5 inches in diameter, and they weigh over a pound. They are very easy to install however, just two screws, (which they provide) and it uses a standard clamping system to the handlebar. This bell is loud! Its also well made, and has a rubber grip on the striker. Strike the bell hard with your thumb, and the bell will be loud every single time you strike it. The bell is also finely tuned, the DING DONG sound is exactly like a door bell, but sounds so much sweeter. This bell gets pedestrians attention pretty easily. And unlike a horn that will anger a pedestrian once you've scared them, strike this bell at 50 feet away, and the pedestrian will smile as you go by them. I love it! 5 out of 5 stars! :)

This bell is HUGE!
This is a very big bell. It would be ridiculous on a child's bike, and probably difficult for a child to use. I got it for my own bike and had no room on my handle bars for it to fit because it was so BIG, so I had to return. I will admit, I do have a lot on my handle bars (bar ends, a light, a computer and a currently broken bell) but even still, it was comically big. It does have a great sound though. And with a little color, it would be perfect for a circus clown bike!

It's a great bell with a loud sound
It's a great bell with a loud sound. However, I did not expect it to be this large. I know I should have read the product description more carefully but I wish it would have been made more clear that this bell is like 5 times the size of a "regular" sized bike bell which makes it look rather funny/odd on a bike handle.

Perfect - loud and clear !
Just what I wanted. I like to warn walkers and other bikers as I come flying-up behind them. Loud enough that I can be heard long before I'm too close for them to react. I've experienced many of the "spandex-cyclists", too proud to have a bell, scare the crap out of me as they tell you of their presence at 15+ mph when they on right next to you !! This a good solid product.

It actually injured me in a minor accident - just glad it was blunt enough it didn't stab me
It's huge and the arm sticks out way far. It actually injured me in a minor accident - just glad it was blunt enough it didn't stab me!

Best bike bell I've had yet
I commute by bike and get to classes on bike 9big campus). People actually hear me when I'm trying to get their attention with this thing. Previous bells went on deaf ears.
