Calcium!
Sprinkled on salad these taste fine and the main reason I’m using it is because it provides more calcium than most other foods

Good quality
Nice dried seaweed flakes

Just enough for (3-4) servings
The cost is too much for the serving size that I purchased. I normally purchase the 10-15 sheets of seaweed.

Great
Love it! I like to put this stuff into my mortar and pestle, and really grind it up into a dust. This gets the tiny hard seaweed bits pulverized. It’s a natural item and I expected it to have them (and there are some).Good, healthy stuff, and not too salty, an issue with some seaweed

Freeze Dried and All the Better for it. The Cost? Too Much!
The only downside of this wakame is its price: freeze drying is expensive in comparison to sun or oven drying. As much as I like this packaging, I find it hard to justify the cost. With only 0.64 ounce in a package that cost $13.90, that comes out to $0.46 a teaspoon (price as of 11 July 2022). Given that it's easy to use 3 or 4 spoonfuls on a pot of rice, or a spoonful per serving in a miso soup or vegetable broth, you can see how it could become a real expense... Given the very real pleasure I find in the use of this form of wakame, and my diet (vegetarian - heavily leaning toward Japanese temple cuisine) it would be easy to just swallow the expense, but I find it difficult to justify this product on top of an already expensive largely organic diet.I started out this review intending to grant 5 stars and then reduce it to 4 because of the cost issue. Now that I've thought more about the rich issue, I'm going to reduce my rating even further: 3 Stars, that's it.To save money, I've switched to:https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07SVF8T99?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1which is far less expensive. As a dried product it's really not suitable to eat raw, but roasting the stretched out fronds on a baking sheet at 350F for 10-15 minutes leaves a crispy leaf that's easily broken up for storage in a glass jar. Use it cold or cooked dishes, or just eat it out of hand. Luv it.

Great in Miso Soup!
The Wakame Flakes are a superb addition to soups, particularly as an ingredient in Miso combinations (along with mushrooms & garlic). Good stuff!

Crumbs and tough stems, not much flavor
I use this for a miso soup recipe. This product was very crumbled into tiny bits except for some really tough stem pieces yuck. I found much better product at a local Asian market. Do not recommend this.
