Seen Art?

I absolutely loved going through this book. The photos of the various artworks are great, especially for children, but what I really got a kick out of was the creative storyline. I think this book is wonderful for any age - bought it to read to my 4 month old, but I think I enjoy it as much or more than her!

This was the only book all school year that my son didn’t want to return to the library to receive a different book. Comical play on the word/name “Art” and educates the kids on famous artists.

An absolutely wonderfully creative introduction to art. The kind of children's book that is as entertaining for the adult reading, as for the child listening. I thought it would be too advanced for my four year old grandchild, but he grabbed it and begged me to read, and we were both enchanted. Can't recommend it enough.

I was extremely disappointed with this book. It had such great potential but has so many problems in practice. The colors are muted. Several sentences are illegible when the words cross the center binding. The brand new, still shrink-wrapped copy I got had a terrible sticker on the back cover that was annoying to remove and - even worse - had a sticker covering something *inside* as well - some kind of publishing error? Just... make sure you're going to be happy with it by checking out a copy in person before buying online. I view this as a waste of money and cannot give this as a gift as intended.

This is a great book for all ages.... I will use it in my elementary art class and High school class. A college professor recomended "Math Curse" and I looked it up and found one on art! He said "as a teacher, you have to be obsessed with your subject." So I was and purchased this book and it is GREAT!

I absolutely love this author. I also love how he takes already often established text and tells a story from another point of view. This books is on Art of some very famous artist. Rich language and lots to learn from this book. Great addition to any children's library and to any art study program.

Lane Smith's new book is exactly what I come to expect from his work. Clever, snappy text and amazing illustrations. What a great way to experience a museum and learn about great art. Fun!

It is a good art/picture book, but your young ones may not understand or be engaged in it.

Lovely book

Kids loved it as a guided reading book. We managed to use it for role play, language and to create a balanced argument about whether something was art or not. Good for pointing out differences in UK and American English
