The book is MUCH bigger than you’re thinking. I thought it would be compact paperback but it’s about the size of printer paper.

Fitzgerald's novel is everything it's cracked up to be, but this edition? It's just weird. An awkward size with tiny type—my guess is that, since the book is out of copyright and in the public domain, someone decided to slap a cover together that sort of looks like a Penguin edition and sell it online inexpensively. It is a cheap edition in every sense, and almost unreadably bad in terms of layout. I'd say spring for a decent edition instead. This edition is a disservice to FItzgerald's writing and his readers.

Man merkt dem Buch schon an, daß es ein "Erstlingswerk" ist. Die späteren Bücher von Scott Fitzgerald haben bei Weitem mehr Tiefe. Interssant ist es trotzdem, denn es war schließlich das Buch, mit dem er berühmt wurde.

I thought this book would be a conventional paperback, but it is much bigger - only slightly smaller than A4 size - so it is not very portable.
